A very good reminder why 80Kg people shouldn’t mess with 380 tonnes of 747!
Paul
80KG???????……………………I ********ing wish ๐ ๐
Know what you mean though.
Kev ๐
Imagine the fun if you are a wind surfer………start from beach…….ready……steady………..GO!!! ๐ฎ ๐

Dear God, I can only assume there is something akin to rocket fuel in the coffee .
No rocket fuel in the coffee Roy, just a rather ‘Mr Motivator’ type Cheif Engineer. ๐ (and before you ask, he’s not a black guy in a leotard ๐ ๐ )
Mind you though, we do find a little Bromide is useful in Rob’s coffee. :p
Cheers
Kev ๐
Sorry mate, you’d be in the boot with Granny!! ๐
How can I be in the boot with Granny, when it’s a bicycle?? ๐
TUT ๐
Kev
lol ๐ ๐
I’d have to have the window seat though :p :p
Kev ๐
Wow, how much work you have put into this? This is looking fantastic and if you hadn’t posted those photos, many people would not appreciate all this hard work. I wish other museums would look after their aircraft like this
Cheers Albert ๐
Some more pics and discription at
http://groups.msn.com/FlightoftheVixen (a very busy site, I just don’t know how we cope with all the hits ๐ฎ ๐ )
Kev ๐
Please don’t upset our Chief Engineer Pete ๐ I know what you mean though, she is in a wonderful condition and I look to thrive on that!
Fingers crossed, we’ll have flashing lights galore soon…………..
Hopefully not the blue ones your used to……snigger snigger ๐
Kev ๐
It is not just the airframes which make MAM special. Last year my first visit was a joy because the staff and volunteers actually were chatty and informative. The enthusiasm bubbles over ,it is such a shame that more museums no longer offer guides.
Cheers for that Scotavia. ๐
We do ‘try’ to be like that, but I think the world ‘try’ is wrong because it’s not hard.
Being enthusiatic, polite and welcoming to your vistitors is really easy and enjoyable, so really there is no excuse not to be, in my opinion. ๐
Thanks again for your nice words…….hopefully see you soon.
Kev
Some more dodgy phone pics from me too!! ๐
Nice evening tonight, had a group of Scout’s come and pay us a visit.
A very bright bunch they were too, one asked about propeller pitch on the Gannet, which I was most impressed with.
Also, they didn’t fall for the line, that the contents of the Vixen radome were in case the aircrew wanted to watch ‘Sky’, while on long flights ๐ ๐ .(well it made ’em laugh).
Anyway a lovely evening, in which a group of enthusiastic lads hopefully left with some great memories and some knowledge of our aviation heritage. ๐
Take care all,
Kev
Oops….yeah. ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ (bottle of Grant’s and the internet rarely mix)
On closer inspection, I feel my humourous interlude has fallen rather flat. ๐
I’ll get my coat………………again …………………..and me hat.
Kev ๐
Maybe it’s run out of fuel at the last moment and isn’t moving at all? ๐
LOL ๐
Maybe it’s just parked there, but they’ve overloaded the rear hold :p :p
(Hence the bloke ducking)
I’ll get me coat! ๐ฎ
Kev ๐
Maybe, it’s not landing ?!! :diablo:
Maybe, it’s really really short takeoff??? ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ :p

Kev ๐
Yeah, more Embassy butts than Mayfair though, that what you get for having workmates that are too tight too ‘crash the ash’. ๐
Anyway we shouldn’t be promoting the ‘weed’ on here (dirty filthy habit ๐ก )
Was a bit hot on them wings today , I’ve burnt my feet where I took my shoes off. ๐
Here’s a few poor pics from my phone, the close up of me is not for self worship, but if look in the background you can see the lads working on the Argosy, as mentioned above. ๐
Take care all.
