The team disbanded in the same month 😡

More Swiss Luminous Orange

The Yoke in the middle of an Egg is yellow … like the middle of this patch…

Is that the beginning of a runway on the right of the picture ?
WARNING ! – slight thread creep here …
There’s more on the race here => http://www.btinternet.com/~gordon.dyer/543/memories.html
In the above write up it mentions Eric Hemson. If anyone knows his whereabouts could they please ask him to contact me.
Eric flew as #4 in the 1967 “GIN Formation” Aerobatic team & I’d like to find out more for my website …..
Thread creep over …
TIA
Steve
BenyBoy – Here’s a link to the Museum at Sinsheim =>http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/en/aircraft
If anything it’s even bigger than the Speyer Museum & as mentioned above there are both a Concorde & Tu144 there. You can get inside both ( as well as inside a JU-52 & others 🙂 )
Sinsheim also has a massive collection of Tanks, F1 cars, Trains Motorbikes etc etc etc. I’ve been to Sinsheim a few times & to be honest even a day isn’t long enough.
Pagen01 – The U-boat – Sorry I didn’t take any pics of it, but you can see it in the background behind the Gannet. & it’s featured in the website link you posted
Fouga23 – I’ll send you an E-mail with what I have, but be warned, I’m not a good photographer.
Creaking Door – The sign hanging off the Alphajet says … “First flight 1973. 500 examples built. Used in France, Germany & other countries” … so no help there I’m afraid.
By pure chance my son has been invited to a birthday party “trip” to Speyer on Saturday. His second visit in 10 days…. He’s not complaining !
And the last few ….

See the little boy in the green sweatshirt, pointing his finger, in the last few shots. That’s my son & it really IS that interesting for kids.
Here are a few more images ….

images arent working for me only little red x’s?
ooops sorry ! Just corrected it….
Does anyone have any Info / Pics of the Linton GIN team that flew there for the BoB display in 1966 ?
The JP’s used were XP662/48, XP668/50 , XR699/34 , XR665/38
Or does anyone have a copy of the programme ?
TIA
Steve
My Dad flew with 60 Sqn from Butterworth.
I loaded a couple of small Cine films he was involved with into YouTube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL0ILSGR8MI
& http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83nEoeUVDII&feature=channel
John Parson ( Navigator in 60 Sqn ) is still around, I can put you in touch with him.
Here’s one of John’s films featuring the Javelin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMvXaAEt0I4&feature=channel
& finally through these films a couple of the Javelin guys from that period have contacted me. I’ll pass on their details.
Let us have more details of you “project ” 🙂
Javelin.
I’d contribute to the fund 🙂 … & then I’d like to sit in the 2nd seat please :p
What I would like to know is, were these the same pilots/aircraft that flew a “50” formation over Farnbrough during the SBAC show in September that year?
There are no entries in my Dad’s log book for this flight & no “training” entries either. However his first flight in Sept ’68 was on the 16th …. maybe my mum forced him to take a few days holiday with us 🙂
Here’s a few
My Dad was an instructor based at Linton-On-Ouse 1968 -1970. He flew with “Linton GIN” in 69 & the led “The Linton Blades” in their formation year ( 1970 )
Here’s Linton GIN in a loop.
Here are a couple from my Dad’s log books.
This one was dated May 1960 ( 5 Fts )

He flew his first Jet solo in this ( Feb 1960 )

No Info on this one … but I guess it’s from the same period
& finally some thread creep here ….. these are the guys from his course. ( anyone recognise themselves / their father ? )
