The USN Mars was due to go to the Navy but that’s stopped so it will sit on the slipway until another buyer is found. The Red an White one will be sponsored by Kermit to fly but he said the purchase cost was too high for him to justify, even though he would love to have it.

Try PBS America or Forces TV 276 and 277 on virgintv 21:30 tonight on Forces, US Generals about Hap Arnold ‘architect of the US Air Forces’. Sadly the documentary channels seem to have dropped aviation mostly

Oh the Biggles is from 1960 and ha all 44 episodes £40 lovely to know such a complete series exsists from then

A good place for old TV and Films is NETWORKONAIR.COM (used to be network dvd) I believe that if they receive enough requests they do short production runs of series etc. They currently have AIRLINE complete series for £17.95 Fly into Danger £9.18 andPiece of Cake complete series £12.24 Plane Makers a bit hefty at £27.56 vol1 £35.00 vol2 but these are limited run. BIGGLES complete series will be available 12/8/13

Finaly got round to watching my recording. Lovely that it was in colour.
A couple of things! Why did the Skyraiders have no spinner or prop hub/boss, just the centre painted white. How long did the Whirlwinds have the colour scheme?

Final note, the assistant producer was the recenlty deceased Micheal Winner!!

At 11.31 the aircraft turning upside down is a Dewotine, rare footage of a captured one? The large aircraft spinning in looks like a Condor, theres one straffed a few seconds later, maybe the same base and caught one on approach too.
