Fieseler Storch or not? Obviously not.
Hi, so would this have been that plane flying low near to the M6 yesterday that nearly caused me to fall off my motorbike whilst looking up at what I first thought was a Storch?
When is the one on airliners on?
Don’t forget the next one too on the Airliners David 🙂
Hi, is it the same time next week? I can’t get near the TV, three women in the house, always out voted when it comes to watching something on the box. Regards David.
Super program!
Yes, but the name was from the others.. Red Pelicans were JP’s I think..
You can watch it online, see

Thanks for posting that link, something worth watching on tv (or in my case a PC) which makes a change and plenty for a Meteor fan to enjoy! Would be nice to to see some longer footage of the early jets instead of just snippets but certainly not complaining. Wonderful! Regards David.
Thank you.My very thoughts.
Whilst I whole heartedly dissagree to the murder of helpless people. Before we condem the German pilot outright for his actions, maybe we should think about what his motives might have been ?. Perhaps the German pilot had a reason for shooting the guys who were escaping their damaged aircraft ?.
We all like to think that we would never do anything like that ourselves, but what if members of your family had recently been killed by bombs dropped from enemy bombers ?, would you still be able to maintain to your morals, or stick to the Geneva convention for that matter ????.
On the other hand he may just have been a cold blooded murderer, but we will probably never know.
This kind of thing happened many times in WW2 “on both sides”, surrendering soldiers have been shot whilst carrying a white flag & with their arms held high, submariners & sailors whose vessels had been sunk, have been shot whilst in the sea, etc etc. Sometimes it was done in the heat of battle when the blood lust was at its highest, other times, in pure cold blooded murder.Bob T.
They’re helpless on their chutes not as helpless as those on the receiving end of a stick of 500lb bombs maybe. Why should someone who has maybe dropped a large amount of high explosives on helpless civilians expect to be treated fairly? Wars a nasty business and the longer WW11 went on the nastier it got.Wars all about killing the enemy after all.Along similar lines any one heard of the Russelshim incident? David.
Hindsight!
Thanks to the mod for changing my original title, with hindsight perhaps not the best title to have chosen.Certainly reads a lot better.Regards David.
Sorry to offend anyone.
Hello,it was not my intention to offend anyone hence I did not post the picture of the remains.I’m interested as are other people are on this forum of the discovery of aircraft crash sites and found it interesting that the clothing was so well preserved and I don’t see that the pictures were offensive but obviously I was wrong, perhaps I should titled it “JU88 wreckage found with crew member inside” then it might have sounded less like a story in the Sun news paper. The original story was on a German Medical companie’s web site.Sorry to have caused a fuss, perhaps someone can delete the post/thread.Regards David.
Unreal!
Hello, can’t believe what I’m seeing! All those lovely types just sitting there waiting for the scrap man, surely he could at least close the canopy on the meatbox or put a cover on it.I saw WH166 when it was gate guardian at RAF Digby some years ago,at least it was cared for then. Sure is an unusual sight these days to see so many old aircraft just lying around uncared for.Shame! Regards David.
Looks lovely!
Hi,looks absolutly fabulous they’ve done a superb job with it,just a shame about the code letters. Can’t wait to see it in the air sometime in the future. Regards David.
