Any news about Admiral Kharlamov or Admiral Nakhimov? Are they currently actively been repaired and modernizationed? I Have not read anything about Admiral Kharlamov for years even though she is a relatively new ship in comparison to other Udaloys. Yet, she has been inactive since 2006.

Russia isn’t buying it, end of story.

Well, I wouldn’t say that we have seen the end of the story. Based of what I have read in recent years I think there is interest from Russia but obviously they are not going to pay nowhere near what Ukraine is asking.

Anyway, 1st Mistral was officially laid down today.

The first Mistral class amphibious assault ship for Russia will be laid down on February, 1st in a French shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, an official from United Shipbuilding Corporation said. “Official keel-laying ceremony will be held on February, 1st in Saint-Nazaire. First bow assembly will be placed into dry dock, where the ship will be constructed”

Previously reported that the price of an unfinished missile cruiser “Ukraine” Project 1164 can range from $ 1 to $ 4 billion, as is well known, in 2008, Ukraine’s defense minister at the time, Yuri Yekhanurov priced cruiser at $ 1.041 billion, but the Russian side called the price ” sky-high. “

It seems that Russia might still be interested in taking that cruiser but the price tag is insane. $ 1.041 billion? Seriously?

Never heard this before, sound like nonsense. Volgograd is nowhere near as completed as Belgorod, no better than Barnaul really.

This is what was said in march 2012.
