Hi David and all,
David thanks very much for the great information.
This will allow me to finish the Titus Oates plane.
Best regards,
Don
KLG’s registration reflected its spark plug sponsorship. FB Mk40 fitted with a (non-standard) belly tank by Titus Oates. High gloss ‘dark red’ overall, white registrations, ‘sky blue’ Ampol titles outlined in white (both sides and under the starboard wing), white discs and black race numbers. Issue 4/1998 APMA magazine has drawings, still available as a back issue.

CORRECTION
Hi Ron and all.
The photo was from the ADF Serials site.
http://www.adf-serials.com/
I don’t know where they got them.
Probably passed on from your friend to Oates, who knows.
Check out the site at the above address at Mosquito A52-324.
In any case, they are super.
Best regards,
Don

Hello CHaps.
We just discovered a instrument panel from a beech AT10 aircraft with most guages on it. Does anyone have a photo of the main piilots panel?

King’s Cup 1961
Does anyone know who the winner of the 1961 Cup was? I know the aircraft was Miles M.18 G-AHKY, but nothing about the pilot.
Part 9 – 1961
The 29th King’s Cup Race
The standard system continued for the July 9 race, with 21 entries, though foreign airplanes were allowed. The winner was Brian Iles in a Miles M.18 at 142 mph, second was R.H. McIntosh in a Cessna 175 at 145.5 mph, and third was T.G. Knox in a Proctor at 161 mph. The highest speed in the race was 298 mph by Viv Bellamy in a Spitfire Mk.VIII Trainer.

re- King’s Cup Winners
Don,
Have you actually looked at that list? It merely lists the races and dates, but not winners. I had already found this list, but was looking for the name of the winner of 1961 (plus the other races as well), but this list does not have it!
Hi Ian,
Yes I “actually” looked at the list.
What I didn’t do was to send the proper site address. 😮
Try this;
