    I know the tiger was offered to Canada, and we did like it. I wonder if the tiger could have been flown off a Majestic class carrier.

    That could have made a good sales pitch. Buying one type of aircraft for both airforce and navy. Might have helped keep the Bonnie in service a little longer.

    Wouldn’t the F-14 be too heavy and large to fit on the CVA’s. I think they were to big and heavy to go on the Midway class carriers which I think were equivalent in size.

    I think they would have continued upgrading Bucc’s and Phantoms along the lines of germany’s ICE program.

    Great color pictures of the Bonnie, Obi. It is a shame that we got rid of our carrier. I wish Canada had taken more of an intrest in naval aviation.

    During the Korean war we didn’t send our carrier to that theater. We had troops but no naval air support. We had the Magnificent at the time, but I think it might of had something to do with her being on loan and not wanting to put her in harms way.

    I know on other forums they say Canada doesn’t need to have carriers because we have the United States. But i’m sure any extra help with carrier rotation would be appreciated.

    Wow…. They will take Hawaii west and the Indian ocean. That’s pretty ambitious!
