Nice idea… just don’t take the welding equipment… aluminium don’t weld that well!
Ah the Pratt & Whitney test bed! Nice, but the other one looks more wierd!

Flanker – That is some model! Very impressive!!!!!
A MiG-29?
Yes they do, they modify the back end of the nacelle so that more hot air is mixed with the cold bypass air, making the aircraft quieter. Another thing to do would be to increase the amount of bypass air to provide a thicker blanket of cool air around the hot air to shroud the noise and to allow increased time for the hot air to cool.
Been to Barcelone twice… great city… loved the place! Just watch anything valuable…. trust no-one… including very small children… Was watching a street performance by a mime artist… and felt something touch my pocket area… I turned quickly… with clenched fist… to give someone a “little” tap for trying to theive from me… but stopped just in time… it was a maybe 4 or 5 yr old girl wandering through the crowd feeling peoples pockets!!
You should have fun though! Lots to see!

Really not having a good day… Filton’s not in the Manchester part of the world… It’s down in Bristol! They make wings at Broughton!
That’s the place I was trying to think of… my head’s not working this morning!!
A Stirling was… it crash landed, but the Germans repaired it enough to fly and test.
Aren’t the Beluga’s a regular sight in that part of the world?? I met someone ages ago from somewhere around Manchester who said he saw an Airbus Guppy once a week picking up airbus bits… can’t remember where he said it landed though… Does this still happen… but with a Beluga??
Managed to find this….
Airline manufacturers don’t need to crash aeroplanes to see what will break them, they can use computer modelling programs to determine what will happen when forces are applied to airframes.
