RE: your favourite cities
Well, the top 5 cities which I’ve visited… bearing in mind, I haven’t exactly visited that many cities… and in no particular order!!
Warsaw
Krakow
Barcelona
London
Orlando
RE: A330 PIC
Yeah, I wasn’t comfortable on the one I flew on… but then again, I think all airline seats aren’t that great to sleep in!! I ended up sprawled across the tray table!!! It was OK until the guy infront reclined his seat into my head!! Lets just say I wasn’t a happy bunny :-)!!
RE: Sheffield Airport.
Come to think of it… in my A-level geography exam last year, I included Sheffield too!!!
RE: Please be honest.
I’m British, my surname however originates from Poland.
RE: Guidelines for World Cup commentators in the U
HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! That’s great!!
RE: Work Experience with British Midland
Hey, I didn’t know that!!!!! A BBJ?? WOW!!!! The guy who owns Multi had a Citation V or something like that… then he bought the Falcon 900… to take him on holiday… then he decided to charter the Falcon out… I think it’s still used by Sir Frank Williams… and so he gets it whenever he needs it… ALWAYS!! Anyway, once Multi’s boss wanted to go on holiday… when a Grand Prix was on… so he was forced to take the Citation… What a comedown!!!!
RE: Work Experience with British Midland
Ah, N76TH… sounds familiar!! That was one hell of a nice helicopter!!! Not as nice as G-MLTI the Falcon 900B though!! I saw a Citation X around aswell… and I know that Multi wanted one. Is that theirs?
RE: We Were Soldiers
I saw it when it first came out. I enjoyed the film, but was, like you, moved. The friendly fire napalm incident hit me the hardest I think. That was dropped by F-100’s (computer generated of course, but it was nice to see such a variety of types).
RE: Onboard Air Quality?
The older aircraft are definitely better than the newer ones!!
RE: Mobile Phones
True… it’s got to be cost! The technology to jam mobile phone signals does exist… it’s just that it involves transmitting another signal… Would these jamming signals interfere with the avionics??
RE: Onboard Air Quality?
The air quality on an airliner is nowhere near as good as it used to be!! All the air in the aircraft was changed over a short period of time (can’t remember the figures!). But nowadays, only 50% of the air is changed. It takes up less energy to do this… which means less fuel has to be burned… which means the aircraft becomes more efficient… = more cash for the airlines!!
RE: Work Experience with British Midland
Been and gone?? That was quick!!! They did have an S-76… registered N76?? It was black with a band of different coloured stripes.
RE: Work Experience with British Midland
Yeah, I’ve heard of those!!! And I’ve had a good look round G-DRAR too! I didn’t know one of Multi’s R22’s crashed though!! Do you know if Multi’s Sikorsky 76 is still around? I know they were on about selling it… but whether they did or not I don’t know! And another thing… Multi were supposed to be getting one of the first Eurocopter EC-135’s off the production line… any ideas if or when that will arrive?
RE: Your Birthdays
It wasn’t Friday the 13th was it?? That would be just a bit too freaky!!
RE: Your Birthdays
Mines on the 13th September… unlucky for some!!
