In A320 wing production, the stringers start off being made from extruded aluminium on the East coast of the USA. They are then machined to be stingers on the West coast of the USA… and then assembled into wings in the UK. Is this the same for the A380 wings??

Yeah… the worst ads are those for loans… and those for personal injury things. I started to hate them all after seeing them over and over again. Hmm… where’s that pet hate thread? 🙂

Oh yeah… the rocket toting ducks was fantastic! I like the RAF advert with the Harriers and the Hercs, but purely because aircraft were in it!!

BMi have them on their A330’s aswell!

You get 2 views… one downwards, and one forwards. Although on the downwards one all I could see was clouds for most of the 7 hour flight!!!

And also, you get this game thing called “Go Moku” Which is like Connect 4, only you have to get 5 in a row… It’s IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! I managed to tie with it… but that’s it!! The computer knows what to do and when to beat you!!!

I’m stumped!! I don’t think I was into aircraft back then!! I reckon it’s around about the time when the airport opened the lengthened runway. Whenever that was!!

Who cares about the local residents? Good point!! They dealt with Concorde for years… Now that’s something I’d like to see back at Leeds!! Of course you’d need to protect loads of houses from vortex damage… and added noise.

Thinking about it, the last 747 I saw at Leeds was before Leeds United played in the Champions League, they must’ve hired one to take the fans out to Barcelona I think.
