    RE: Transporting Animals

Last year, I won a WWF essay contest about the environmental impact of aviation. The prize was to visit LHR to have a look round. I’ve seen where Jeremy used to work!! I also got the opportunity to look round the animal reception centre. The guy from the TV programme still works there!! It was great… quite a few obscure animals were there… I got to hold a Python which was cool!!!!

    Try:

    http://www.casa.es

I did and it takes me to an EADS site. I’m assuming CASA is a part of EADS these days. Am I right??

RE: Favourite airshow moment? (So far!)

    I’ve got a few!

My first airshow, Church Fenton ’94

I heard a Tornado for the first time. WOW.. deafening!!

    Farnborough ’96

The Su-37 display… That was cool!!!

    Waddington (2000 I think)

    The Thunderbirds.

I also liked the B-1b and the Su-27 test pilots at Waddington!!

RE: See if you can guess what these are!!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-01-02 AT 05:01 PM (GMT)]The Lysander was indeed a test aircraft. The idea was that it would fly up and down beaches being invaded by the Germans, and strafe them.

Not sure about where the turret came from… I thought the Hampden didn’t have gun turrets. If it is taken from a bomber it’ll be from a Whitley or Wellington.
