    RE: me too…

I’ve built over 50 of various scales. I got some rather large ones which gave my parents a bit of a fright when I hung them from my ceiling!!! I’ve built a 1:48 scale C-130, 1:48 B-1b, 1:72 B-52.

With me gone to university, I had a challenge of storing them in a cupboard without damaging them recently.

RE: passenger plane( that is what they say) hits world trade center.

Among this tragic event, I was thankful that the airliners were not full of passengers. Is it common practice to use such large aircraft to carry so few passengers? Was it an off-peak time?

    RE: BA & A380?

On the noise front, the A-380 has to produce higher noise levels and a larger noise footprint than the 777. However the fewer A-380’s would disturb people living near airports less frequently that twice as many 777’s.

That said, the improved engine technology will mean that both types produce less noise and emmissions than aircraft of previous generations.

    RE: BA & A380?

That’s my opinion too. The use of fewer large aircraft will cure the slot problem… for the time being. This will mean the airport authorities only have to worry about places to put passengers.

    Could anyone answer this question?

In the age of concern for the environment, which causes most damage, two 777’s or one A380?

    RE: Concorde Flying again

Yes… fantastic news. I was reading in the Guardian about the new safety features on Concorde. Kevlar lined fuel tanks and rater impressive tyres which don’t explode when they run over bits of metal.

It’ll be great to see her back in the Air. Are Air France Concordes going to be back soon aswell?

    RE: Heathrow or O’Hare

O’Hare is the busiest airport, but Heathrow is the busiest international airport. However there are claims that Palma airport on Mallorca takes this role over the summer high season. Can anyone confirm this?

RE: Business Jets — Your Favourites?

My personal favourite would have to be the Global Express. It looks fantastic, and has loads of range!!

I’ve been on the Falcon 900B chartered by Frank Williams, the Formula 1 team boss. The interior is beautiful, in fact, beautiful is an understatement!! It’s quite a large aircraft as far as biz jets go don’t you think?
