Also it’s lighter.
About the leaks point… not only that, but the hydraulic fluid may become contaminated, and if the filter becomes unservicable, the system loses effectiveness, or can fail completely due to blockages, but this is unlikely in any case!
I enjoyed my only TriStar flights… back in 1994 with Caledonian!
“Nothing kicks more arse than modern fighters.”
Well said!!! I totally agree!!!
“GCSE’s, that’s when they actually count for something”
Hmmmm… depends how far you want to go intellectually…. I’m in a degree… and GCSE’s mean absolutely nothing… completely worthless… they may have had a slight benefit in giving me an insight into what A-levels to do…. but before the GCSE exam’s I’d already made up my mind what I was gonna do… so naturally… I didn’t bother revising for them… and came out just fine!!

The A310 doesn’t have PTV’s… I flew with them last summer… took a window seat… was sat next to a well built guy… and got cramped… couldn’t see the TV infront of me cos of the cabin crew seat headrest… watch out for that… dont take the window seat in row 14!!
Was/Is there a company making ATP conversions to freighters?? I read about something like this a while back in one of the aviation magazines.
“Yet RR did a great job of nearly bankrupting themselves”
All of the big three, GE, P&W and RR came close to bankrupcy at around the same time. This was caused by the development of high bypass engines, which were previously unheard of. As with all new revolutionary ideas, they cost money, and a lot of it. All the big 3 risked the huge sums of money so they wouldn’t be left behind in the race for ever more fuel efficient engines.
Is the GE 7E7 engine solely produced by GE or is it an Engine Alliance Job like the A380?
Don’t forget Ryanair’s 732’s at LBA!
The Electra is still a turboprop. Sadly I left Loughborough for the Easter break, so I missed it!
Yeah, USAF DC-9’s or C-9 Nightingale’s as they’re known are used for Medevac and VIP work.
There was one buzzing around Castle Donnington International on Friday, and there’s an advert in Loughborough with “Easyjet is proud to operate the new A319” at the bottom!
OK… differentiating gives
1. dy/dx = -3x^2
2. dy/dx = 2x
There’s your gradient… all you need to know now is at what value of x you need the gradient!
