Whats the payload that the Buccanear is carrying?

Looks like practice bomb dispensers – I remember seeing pics of ’em back in the early 80s on Harriers and Bucs. Can’t remember the designation – but i think they carried 4 small rounds each. Aerodynamic nose shape cuts up to flat bottom.

    Panther,
Thanks very much… I have one of the Marchetti’s in the works right now too… I had been wondering about that name – I’ve seen it called Team Warrior somewhere.

I believe I had seen someone post elsewhere about the PC-9 team – It would be interesting to see if the IAC splurges on a special paint job this time or sticks the factory grey.

And now for a bit more Sabre colour…

RCAF 3 Wing Fireballs, Sept 17 1954, Zweibrucken
Red paint ordered removed by AVM after Chief of Air Staff inspection because Red was a Communist colour, not Canadian.

    Cheers,

    Hi fellows!

I’ve seen alot of various pictures showing interceptions of (atleast in my case) Soviet/Russian patrol planes.
I’ve figured out I should start a thread where everyone could post pictures from their collection.

    I’ll go first:

    USN F/A-18 intercepting a Soviet Tu-95U Bear-E:

Now, go ahead! Post your pics!

PS: It doesnt have to be of Soviet aircraft beeing intercepted, it just that thats what I have on my computer…

Just a correction for your records – she’s a Canadian Forces Hornet

    Albert,

Thanks very much. I ‘stumbled’ upon your site back in December – very informative (you do have a few dead links). I myself am a lapsed IPMSer – its been a few years. Do you know anyone with good images of the Macaws bird emblem from the nose of the JP?

If anyone wants a great look at Canadian aerobatic teams check out this link…

If he doesn’t have any of the book left, Larry at Canav may have a few.

Its a beautiful book, albeit heavy and pricey. (I designed and produced it for him)

    Here’s another question for anyone…

Egyptian Air Force Aerobatic Team (201 Squadron)… by now I think we may have all seen the shots of the K-8 at the Archangel (Greece) Air show… I’ve seen the K-8 in this Red,Black,White scheme (tail numbers 1 and 2) and seen it mentioned as the air force team…Anyone have any info on the origins/name of the team??

I did read on a Spanish site a reference to some cooperation late 70s/80s between a Spanish AF Mirage Squadron and the Egyptian team refered to as the Silver Falcons (my translation – my Spanish is just OK)

Again – my apologies to photographers – another random find on the net.

    TooNs…

Israel does have a ‘team’ of sorts… they operate from the Air Force Academy and perform predominantly for official events – things like Academy class graduations. Sometimes flown by aircraft in 1 Basic Flying Squadron and sometimes with aircraft carrying a badge which is reported to be the ‘Aerobatic’ squadron.

They’ve been flying these shows almost since the initial deliveries of the Magister and still fly the Magister (now IAI Tzukit)

I dont know who to credit for the shots – generally found on the ‘net searching for ‘Magister’, ‘Tzukit’ and ‘Aerobatic’ There are some great shots either on jetphotos.net or airliners.net search for Israel Air Force or Tzukit

Hey gang – I’m loving the diversity here – apologies to fans of the ‘biggies’ but I think showcasing everybody else is more interesting – keep em coming.

On that note – (I’ll quote Britney Spears here…) oops I did it again…

I slipped and fell into a pile of Sabres – so first off the Canadairs… this is gonna get wild and wooly. So without further ado…

    Hellenic Flame 1963
    Canadair Sabre 2

    (13 Canadian Sabre teams)
    (4 Aussie – CA-27s – plus 1 Indonesian)
(20+ rest of world (various marks/manufacturers)

P.S. Anybody have a decent 3 view of the Commonwealth CA-27 Sabre? I’m not happy with the outline I’ve got and my references are not the greatest

I’ve never heard the Su’s but I’m with you on the Bone… We had one at our show in Ottawa about 10 or so years ago – full demo flight – when he hit centre stage he yanked her up in full ‘burner – everything around shook and when the sound died off every car alarm at the show and the airport was blaring!

Then again – you haven’t heard one of our SeaKings lately

    Excellent – thanks again Milton

Now for our friends in the southern hemisphere… at touch of colour.

Any requests for what anyone wants to see next??
