Dunelm mill if you want one they are cheap and funky lol:)
Yes Htype was first introduced in 1944
The form did belong to Hampden L4044 230 squadron all the info seems to be deleted and changed to Spitfire info unless as i now assume was done by an apprentice mechanic for practice on filling out the sheets?
I do know the hampden in question was struck off after some kind of accident.
My freind was around yesterday and saw this thread on my pc he has suggested Wellington and certainly an earlier instrument how he knew is anybodys guess? im not going to say that either way as i personally dont know and looked in some books but could not find anything.
Heres my Blenheim one guys although probally not in as goo a condition as yours sound.:)
Here are some pics although not great Andy.just found a raf note book with copies of exactly what is in this form giving same info!!! got to be a guy practising filling one out would you think? But did think they kept these important documents you can see feint writing in pencil where the hampden details were erased.
I purchased it and a few other items a few years ago from a guy who found it on the mull of kintyre in the early 60,s.It is from Blenheim z6350 which ran short of fuel during a training flight December 21st 1941 tried to break from cloud to make an emergency landing and hit a hillside killing all crew.
You lucky git i really love that its very very nice!!!!
Dont know about a tv doc why dont someone make a film with a Bomber/Fighter command theme with aircraft action shots as the yanks keep making ww2 us orientated films!! Any film directors out there please how long do we have to wait for a decent British wartime film!!!! heard Dambusters was being re-made but thats all gone quiet.
Thanks for your serious reply Dave .Considering where this came from i very much doubt the deceased ex-raf service man went into making copies of combat reports!!!.Not everything out there should be jumped on as a forgery this was never sold as a forgery and is real and is as stated belonging origionally to the Hampden and not a spitfire.
The Halifax seat is the rather distressed leather covered seat.
Exactly so, T-21.
Moggy posted this for our interest and enjoyment. So lets take advantage of that opportunity. I offer my unreserved apology for inadvertently “kicking somebody in the guts.”
No offence just having a laugh not meant to be a go at you at all chill out!:)
No magnifying glass…no photoshop….no image enhancement. My deduction was based upon the “a/c 052” inscription as Melvin’s points out.
It was hardly rocket science to find an a/c of that unit with a tail number that ended in 052. Just simple deduction and confirmed by T-21.
hmmmmmmm was that a kick in the guts!

I know it sounds like teaching granny to suck eggs have you used a magnifying glass to look at the tail numbers or for the small serial code of the ac on the nose
