Superb shots.
An excellent set of pix of the final days of this great aircraft.
Thanks.
The excellent virtual visit continues… great pix.
I imagine the difficulty to get a clean shot in the “warehouse” but I would like to spend a day in there.
BTW, what air force markings do the SU and the MiG bear?
From Leuchars..
My first trip to an airshow – oooooh I can’t wait to go back again!:)

Great shot.
The Vulcan looks very impressive.
Very nice. The Spitfire looks even more elegant wearing only raw metal.
Thanks.
Thank you for the F-104 and the F-86 – interesting paint scheme on that one.
Nice catch of a moment in UK aviation history. Love the 4 Harriers pic.
I’m soooo envious 😉
Thank you.
Nice pix. Great saturated colors – nice to “feel” the warmth of the Spanish sun 🙂 (0C in Montreal right now).
Here’s a 2009 list of the collection:

Thank you for sharing.
PS: any pix of the Starfighter?
I would have no problem freezing my … for some nice shots like these 🙂
The Harrier is entering the “rare birds” category so well done.
Thanks.
El doctor, have you shot in film and in digital?… or just film? Just curious.
Nice pix. Thanks.
Maybe they should modify the camouflage for autumn colours 🙂
I agree with you all excellent pictures and where are Tanguy et Laverdure? Over here it was a comic by the way.

I realize I remember it in b&w because we had a b&w tv 🙂
The series was in full colour of course.
I just found episode 1 of season 1 (1967), for 26 minutes of nostalgia:

The TV series was based on the comics “Les Chevaliers du ciel” (first pub. in 1959):

It was also published in the UK as “The Flying Furies” (1966):

In 2005, a movie was released. It was so-so, but the real gem was in the DVD extras – they contained one of the most beautiful sequences of aerial photography I have seen, featuring breathtaking shots of the Mirage 2000.
A promo of the movie is available on YouTube:

Cheers.
Excellent b&w dramatic pix. Reminds me of the original Tanguy et Laverdure TV series from the late 60’s. The Mirage 2000 is a classic. A nice evolution of the original III.
Thank you.
Very nice pix. A perfect day for b&w’s and goodbye’s.
Thank you for the virtual visit.
