Good shooting, shame he missed one though

If that had been in the UK, the boy and is mum would be in custody, a collection would be organised on facebook to give the poor unfortunate who lost his life a decent funeral and the other guy would be in line for compo for stress.
Not in favour of a youngster having access to guns, but that turned out well.

You feel that many of us, particularly of an older generation, have closed, blinkered minds on the subject of climate change etc: you sight the views of “learned” scientists who support the theory of man made global warming, but you see it isn’t that far back when the considered opinion of these same “learned” scientists or more likely their predecessors, were warning of the onrushing ice age, perhaps you may understand more than a degree of cynicism.

The OP currently is all over another forum like a rash, with all manner of “just discovered” revelations, interestingly his posts have had no replies, can’t imagine why.
i can confirm this to be true, had it done last Friday 🙂 along with a hot towel shave, which almost knocked me out with the amount of aftershave used
😀 If you used this treatment during questioning of a prisoner, you would have the entire Human Rights and Geneva convention people on your case:D

There will not be any lights to keep on eventually if emissions are not cut.
At what stage do you propose cutting emissions? I guarantee that by whatever stage you say it will be too late.
Nuclear is the answer in combination with wind, solar, hydroelectric and perhaps wave.
It was the failure of wind and solar that precipitated the emergency measures, weather calm and dull, the over hyped windmills didn’t function and solar just went into a sulk, nuclear, you’re having a laugh, this government has just basically handed our future nuclear generation over to the nationalised industry, pity it’s not ours, but that of two foreign countries, guaranteeing artificially inflated prices to boot, hydroelectric, we simply don’t have the facilities for much, wave, plenty of experiments, but very little result.
Personally I would have thought tidal was the way forward, but mention building barrage dams and the same environmentalists start screaming about protecting estuary mud flats for the birds.
Show us something that works instead of the propaganda.

We are becoming accustomed to the doom laden prophesies from the clean, green energy fascists, interestingly YESTERDAY this country had to bring into play the emergency scheme of major energy users reducing their use, because with no wind the generating capacity couldn’t handle the load, the statement went on to say that alternative generating capacity was brought on line to cover the shortfall, presumably this meant firing up coal fired plant kept on standby.
Clearly the green energy isn’t up to the job, with that in mind which is more important, keeping the lights on, or cutting emissions?, bearing in mind that we are not even in to winter yet.

Not into the tech bits, but just set me thinking (I know that’s dangerous), the EE Lightning must have been good fun to handle on the ground, with no steering on the front, reliant on brakes alone until the rudder became effective.
Many thanks for taking the trouble and sharing, stirred many memories of those early SBAC shows, mostly good, but my first airshow ever was 1952, with one obvious bad memory.
Comparing those pics showing more aircraft in one formation than we would see in total with many of today’s shows, airshows have certainly changed over the years.
Isn’t it Turkish barbers who have a somewhat fiendish way of dealing with hairy ears?, the procedure (so I’ve been informed) is take two small clumps of cotton wool, dip into methylated spirit or similar, set fire to said cotton wool, then slap the damn things into both ears together, I am reliably informed that this does not result in internal combustion or heart attack and certainly clears hairy ears.

In terms of the fabled “big picture”, Thatcher’s decision to deregulate the city lead directly to the financial melt down in western economies (something I believe one of her cabinet secretaries said).
But…if we must talk about selling things off……
What about :
Our Post Office
Our Gas
Our Electricity
Our Water
Our Rail
Need I go on ?
Great decisions ……. not…….
Just watch the Autumn statement for Osborne to announce another “fire” sale of national assets, the Tories have sold/gifted practically everything they possibly can, dedicated to buying in as much as possible in preference to British or British based companies, what happens when Osborne runs out of things to sell? does someone then turn up and repossess the country?
