What you describe isn’t the Sky I subscribe to. The Sky I subscribe to has decent programming, a massive array of channels including movies, an excellent Sky+ system and on-demand system which has no advertising. What’s not to like.

You surprise me with your “left ” wing views, I binned Sky and will not entertain it as long as the Murdoch Mafia have involvement, similarly I wouldn’t light a fire with that rag The Sun for similar reasons.

The licence fee is worth every penny if only for the luxury of TV without mind numbing adverts, is there anyone out there who would willingly hand total control to the likes of Murdoch?, who in their right mind pays extra for a service and still puts up with adverts, endless repeats, Z list films and programmes requiring the intelligence of a small furry mammal to appreciate them?.

Compared to many on here I am well left of centre, but I do not, have not or ever will support idiots, whatever guise they try to hide under.

Yes many fought and died to preserve freedom of speech, but there are those who abuse that privilege and make comments and take actions in the full knowledge, no make that hope, that they will cause offence.

If we follow freedom of speech to the bitter end, then presumably those who feel this inadequate poppy burning moron was within his rights, it is also OK for extremists of all shades to spout their messages of hate, racist chants at football matches are just free speech.

Sadly the best way of dealing with an insignificant brain dead idiot, is actually to ignore him, even sadder it is only the ease of communication which encourages such infantile stunts.

Whilst not getting too far away from the subject, I would just like to say that being a Polish immigrant in Lincolnshire ain’t always a barrel of laughs either.

This week a considerable amount of resource has been utilised in unravelling a quite nasty racially motivated attack on a Polish family.

Elements of this included a lady getting her face repeatedly bashed against a kerb stone.

Makes me proud to be British……….

You can never be certain of anything though, about 3 weeks back a couple of Polish lads took a severe beating in our town, much outrage on local forum and press, the police tracked down and arrested the perpetrators who turned out to be Romanian, sad old world isn’t it?
