Spot on 🙂
He seems to think that no one remembers that he was involved in Labours destruction of our economy.
But I take this recent report as proof that our current efforts are not working.
Perhaps investment in infrastructure and a less ‘London-centric’ future may help.
Labour did not destroy the economy, they most certainly did try to spend our way through a banking created recession and like it or not at the time of the election, growth had returned to the economy.
Yes we have a debt problem, but we need the country working and earning if we are to have a hope in hell of paying it off.
Destroying jobs both public and private sector, cutting spending whether from government or the buying public is never going to build progress.
In Tory eyes as long as the banks and equity fund rabble are still in profit then everything in the garden is lovely. Camercon and Osborne simply haven’t got a clue, I very much doubt if that pair even know which way is up.
The real sadness is that the economic situation gives Tories a golden opportunity, to attack every public sector organisation flying the flag of savings. Reality is that so many of the public sector jobs which were axed with the fanfare of savings, are now being quietly replaced because so many organisations are woefully under staffed.
I wonder just how much that exercise in futility has cost in terms of redundancy and the loss of experienced staff?

Total thread hi-jack, not to worry.
I always felt that the name change from Datsun to Nissan was to put some distance between the early rot boxes and later models.
Various authorities have made to much fuss over this character and have probably given him more credence than he deserves.
Entering an Embassy to arrest him is a wrong step, just leave him there until he decides that the publicity isn’t there any more, he’ll be out with more self promoted conspiracy theories.

Oh, very drole………….Tony!!!
To silver fox, I would say that just because a view is held by a large number of people, even a majority, it does not necessarily make it right. Keep hunting around you will probably find more forums where you can find other kindred spirits who will agree with you.

Hold on, you said he was the “people’s hero”, me and many others are simply letting you know that many of the people don’t exactly endorse your assessment.
In fact very many think that YOUR hero is a self serving little prat, who is very good at shouting but not so good at being taken to task on his actions.

He broke the terms of his bail conditions. Do we just conveniently forget that because you happen to admire what he did with Wikileaks? As for him being a “Hero of the People” I think that’s way out, judging by what I see of public opinion. A hero to some people maybe, but no more.
Just been on another forum which has an Assange thread running, far from hero, concensus is more on the lines of sounds like banker but some strange misspelling involved.

Human rights for all when respected by all certainly, but come on the first thing a criminal does, whatever the crime, is to p@@s all over the victims human rights.
OK I am not talking, torture or mass slaughter but what gives criminals the right to demand anything, they should get what we allow and be thankful that society still allows them to exist.
When my little girls were young a perv in a van offered them and a little friend a ride in his van.
They fortunately were having none of it, the guy was actually caught but because he hadn’t touched the girls the chances of a result in court were slim. We know that a few coppers “had a little word” with him, his employers moved him to another area, in less than 6 months this ba@@@d had snatched a 4 year old off the street and raped her.
He was caught and went to jail, he was constantly moved and placed under protection because other criminals wanted to do him serious harm, of course his human rights were paramount.
Got out of jail and very soon tried the same thing again, he was seen and chased off, but this time someone caught him before the police, who exacted rough justice is not known, but very few shed any tears over it.
The human rights clan would have us believe that the paedo was the victim and his rights were abused I would beg to differ.

He is NO criminal: he is a Hero of the People. What law has he broken in Great Britain? Yes, uphold the law by all means but Julian has broken no law. We are wasting Police resources just sitting around on the off chance he may venture out, let hime have free passage to Ecuador.

Hero 😮 the guy is a self promoting publicity junkie very little different from the likes of Plastic Price and all the the other Z list pseudo celebs.
He caused a bit of a stir with his revelations, but more to the point he is wanted for questioning in Sweden to answer allegations of sexual assault or even rape.
If the guy is such a hero he should have been over there to defend himself, but no, he is busily building his own little conspiracy theory that the world is after him. What make him think he is so important?
The USA would like a little chat, no surprise there then, apart from the revelations, his methods of acquiring the information is of considerable interest, remember we don’t think much of hackers, but with all due respect no matter what you think about the USA, there is no chance that this snivelling little whinger will be whisked off never to be seen again he is to well known for that.
Personally I prefer my heroes to be able to stand for what they believe in, not run for cover when someone calls him into question.
Should someone allow him to travel to Ecuador, I wonder if he would begin revealing the problems and corruption regarding drugs etc etc. Somehow I doubt it very much.

Fine as a theory but what do you do when the trains are full to capacity, the rail infrastructure cannot take any more trains and the rail companies are in debt (and susidised by the government)?
Let’s not forget government subsidy means you and me and all taxpayers, we are all paying fat salaries to overpaid bosses and dividends to the robber barons in the finance world.
We finish up with in most cases the most expensive rail charges in Europe and still shelling out our hard earned to subsidise “private” companies, latest annual count £3.96 billion.
Just to cheer everyone up we are still stuck with repaying the £20billion debt racked up by Network Rail and Railtrack, this of course after the bosses realised they couldn’t keep drawing inflated salaries and hide the true financial position, action, hand the keys back and walk away with their fortunes intact.
