I guess that FOD members won’t have the luxury of their fast-track(which is a joke) entry and will have to join the normal line of people getting in just so they can take your money. The website still has 2009 prices for FOD, anyone know if they are staying at that or going up?
Looks like the normal German markings to me Daz.
Here’s one of mine.

Yes Anna it was John Romain.
Here’s another one, OFMC’s first Corsair and my favourite of the two that they operated.

Thanks for that Simon.. glad i got the year right. Looking through that list it looks like the F-111 had a real poor safety record.
The F-111 had the best safety record of any of the century series of fighters, 77 lost in over one million flight hours. With around 150 F-111E’s/F’s based here in the uk they were bound to lose a few.
263 squadron were also at Wattisham at that time.
Single seat Venom did a fast run and break through Duxford around 14.50pm. What a wonderful sound.
Yes, saw that too. It was getting along nicely.
One of mine.

A couple more.

The Watchtower is no more. If you ever wondered how you “relocate” a listed building please see the attached photos.
Thats how they do it, as long as they save the important bits it is far cheaper to buy new bricks than to try and save the existing ones.
Is there anyway they will go through the mess/rubble and salvage some of the bricks etc?
If there was a plan to save any then they wouldn’t be laying in a heap like that with a 21 tonne 360 sitting on top. Sad sight for those who wanted to see it moved brick by brick.
I’d say 24 in the photo.
As Yak11 Fan said it was 1987.
Thanks for confirming that 95fis and your top J.P shot is well caught and is the place abingdon?,if so it looks a good spot to catch some good take off shots. Also thanks to keithnewsome for supplying a pretty near identical image to that of mine from woodbridge and certainly is a good before and after sequence. The Mk3as at Brunty look lovely and the trees make an excellent background.Cheers to both for help with the Mk80.:)
Yep Abingdon and the other one was Kemble.
A couple from me.
