Anyway it managed to mate my interests together of aviation, cycling and countryside…..what could be better !
Anyone know the history of this which had a misshap on it’s way to Mars ! 😉

Last noted in Rendlesham forest by some American servicemen.
Did the gear collapse on landing as the left leg is slightly down? Doesn’t look too badly damaged though thankfully.
Nice shot, good to see Buchons making bit of a comeback. Must be time for a ‘Post your Buchons’ thread.
Maybe Roobarb could let you have a 25ml tin of the paint.:)
Do I need to make an appointment for an eye test? At approximately 1.00pm today I believe I saw a glider thermaling prior to disappearing into heavy cloud over the north of Ipswich. Can’t think of where it may have come from unless taking off from Crowfield.
Also, would I have seen P47 (Snafu) returning to Duxford after flight testing, again over the north of Ipswich, at approximately 4.00pm on Saturday 21st April?

Not too sure about your glider, but you certainly didn’t see the P-47, may have been the Grace Spitfire heading to Duxford from Bentwaters.
A few more of the P-47 from yesterdays first flight.

Here is one of mine for now heading out for its first flight.

The news that everyone has been waiting for, SNAFU has just had its first flight. Pic’s later. Well done TFC.
I would have thought the engine cowlings would be more damaged if the prop had suffered that much damage.
I was just looking at a photo of myself standing in front of what was probably one of the last B-52D’s to come to the UK 56-0694 at Air Fete 81.
Happy birthday BUFF.
Thanks for posting, good to see some film from one of my local airfields.
I wonder does The Queen fly hers much?
Moggy
She’s always too busy in her fortresses, mind you she has got a Sandringham, Prince Philip has a Lizzie and William has recently got himself a ‘Kate’ to have a go in.
Very sad.
Westland Wessex XS876 523 ex East Midlands turned up at Roudham industrial estate near East Harling on a low loader this afternoon.
There is one such company that specialises in painting helmets based in the former 92fis headquarters building at Shepherds Grove, a regular customer is Lewis Hamilton and Maurice Hammond also had his helmet painted there.
