Nice set, Sea Vixen gets my vote too.
Thanks everyone for the comments.
Sparky, it was Stu Goldspink flying the Hurricane.
A few more shots,

Nice set, Breitling crossover is my favourite though.
Thanks everyone.
Very nice set Cliff, It’s a good show at Shoreham but like you say the light can be very tricky.
Yes you heard correctly.
Thanks Flying Saucer.
Nice shots, how many of the whole F3’s are left there now? There’s a few Hawks going through RTP there also I believe.
What looked like two Jet Provosts/Strikemasters quite high above Saxmundham around 13:00 today. Tailchasing and aero’s.
They “lost” Red 7 (XX280) a week or so ago after a bird strike, flame-out and emergency landing at Blackpool.
I understand the aircraft is still there. That may explain why they are down on numbers.
If they fly a ‘black’ Hawk, it will almost certainly have to fly as lead, as it will not have smoke system, nor the upgraded engine systems to enhance throttle response for close formation work.
It was XX260 that made the emergency landing, XX280 has never flown with the team. I had read that it is going to be stripped for spares as the airframe doesn’t have many hours left on it.
Also the Red Arrows are still flying XX306 which isn’t on their list of aircraft. XX294 is in storage at Shawbury.
You might be able to use this sheet for the markings that G-HAEC wore when it arrived in the uk in 1985. You will just need to replace the individual code letter for an H.

This sheet will give you the Memphis Belle scheme.
We don’t get German Phantoms flying at UK airshows because the German Airforce won’t perform at any airshow, I’m not certain but I think this came in after Ramstein.
You are right in general though, a permit to fly is different to a permit to display, though that doesn’t rule out a static appearance.
For example I have never seen or heard of HHA Hunters, or say the MB Meteors, performing at public airshows, but I have seen the Meteors parked in static parks.BTW HHA do post here, so may be worth sending a PM.
HHA hunters have displayed at shows in the past, but they were ones that were on the civil register, I doubt you will see the military registered ones displaying, and if XX885 does fly I guess it will be operated with a military reg.
Some more.

Duxman, that looks like the Grace Spitfire returning rather than TFC’s MkV.
