I managed to locate the country and type as Mk 80 of the last strikemaster by flygirl and was thrown off in my search by trying to locate the lettering inside the green part of the roundel in the photos provided.
Anyway I took this photo of a strikemaster a couple of years ago at Woodbridge and wondered if it was the same aircraft,by the way flygirl the last shot of the mk 80 is tops so thanks for sharing. 🙂
That is the same aircraft I believe.
As the pilot was unharmed I’ll post some shots of Miss Velma. I hoped that he would make it back on to the airfield but it looked like he made the right decision. I must admit I feared the worst when it was happening but it was a relief to hear he’d made it down in the field and was out walking around. Here are some from my viewpoint.

A few of the Mustangs!

Great to Elizabeth back in the air again so soon after her wheels up landing.

A truly sad day, I was there at that end and everything looked normal coming out of the loop and it looked like he was setting himself up for a topside pass and then something just went wrong! My thoughts are with all those who have lost family and friends! Fingers crossed for the pilot, hope he pulls through! Such a tragic accident!
I enjoyed my day up on Beachy Head, got to see the Vulcan again up there! And yes the Sea King came right over the top!

Three shots at Lakenheath in 1989

One of the Duxford residents enjoying the sunshine at the coast today! Going past Beachy Head

One from Friday when Steve Hinton took the P-36 out!

And one from Saturday’s show! Moonbeam McSwine getting airborne to take part in the Balbo!

A few more.

A few of my shots from Thursdays action.

Sorry these are a few days late but I thought I’d just share a few from Friday!

TD314 came over Melbourn today and did some aero’s before heading back to Duxford. Nice distraction from work.
1980 was the year, I’ve seen some air to air pic’s of it taken in May 1980.
One of my most favourite jets along with the Hunter, it’s a shame to see it leave after many years here on the airshow scene.
