    You might have seen AB910 BBMF’s MkV tipping up on its nose on landing in June 1976. I can’t think of what else you might of seen as i was there at the time.

    I still think it is Finningley on one of the old dispersals near the village with Finningley church in the background. As far as i know TG566 ended up on the dump at Cosford and i can’t see that there is any churches near to the airfield. The church near Shawbury has a different steeple and the Finningley one looks a pretty good match to the one in the piccy to me.

    The Lightning in the photo has the belly tank from a Mark 1, 2 or 3 – is it XS897 masquerading as an earlier mark?

    I believe it is representing an F3 as flown by 29sqn.

    Thanks, they were taken along the Stanwell Moor road, I use a 100-400mm lens.
