My guess might be wrong. I am informed that last time the F16 based itself at Cambridge.
Moggy
Thought it was Mildenhall myself.
No problem.
Just typed in Google “round island in the wash” and one of the websites came up with this
Brian.
I don’t think you would end up at that circle if you went east at Sutton Bridge.;)
They flew Fouga magisters.
There is a pic of the team at the bottom of this page.

Yes Tony it is a fake.
The ‘thick plottens’.
Comparing the original ‘low’ image and the Airliners shot at Fairford. Identical runway markers, taxi way, fence and wire, greenery, Pilots blue helmet, reflections on both helmet and canopy, sun position, all tally.
Consider the air intake. That should be a smooth transition at the rear in to to the fuselage belly. It is notched…just were the u/c leg would be.
Note the rad doors extended in the Airliner shot, but fully up in the original.
…and what has happened to the logo on the port engine cowling. It has been there since 1990..but now missing in the ‘low’ shot!!
Mark
Rad doors are also cloned out too, It’s possible to see the cloning work if you Equalize it in photoshop.
The gear has been cloned out.
Don’t forget the Sharks.
Are we missing something?.
The HHA have received aproval from the CAA to return an F-4 Phantom back to flight in the UK, only thier commitments to MOD contracts has delayed this from hapening just yet.
Any news on thier progress?.
Regards,
John.
Here is the progress on this paticular Phantom.;)
Here is a video of XV474.
Thanks very much for the comments, glad you enjoyed them.
Great set of pic’s as usual, well done.
A few more.

Nice pic’s JDK but was MH434 really built in 1933.:);)
Still worth a good look through, some of the combat reports are quite interesting inside the cover. One tells of some B-17’s being followed by a strange B-17 which then turned back in the direction of Germany. It’s interesting to see how much the airfields have changed in the last 31 years since many of the pic’s were taken.
Excellent set of pic’s Gary.
Looks like you may have put the first hurricane shot in twice.;)
