A braver man than I might venture over to Mod-Mil and ask that question. 😮
Moggy
There are fourteen of them and they are due to be there until july 20th I believe.
Thanks for the update. Hope all goes well with this project and we get to see it in the skies above duxford before too long.
Here is a photo of the sea fury.

There are a couple more on there as well.
That pic is G-BKGL
In fact both of them are so it seems that one of them is captioned incorrectly.
Also one of the pic’s shows Sally B with a chin turret which had been removed so one or two of the pic’s were taken at a later date.
Here is the 707.
Some more pic’s of ‘Boy’ Soons in action.
I think it would be somewhat difficult to confuse with what happended at Ramstein……..
But I’m sure a Frecce Fiat G91 crashed off airfield at Eriswell whilst doing a display, must have been 1978 or 1979 ish.
It was 1979 as far as i can remember.
Don’t get too excited, it’s been put back until 2008.
I have many good memories of mildenhall, B-52D’s, EC-135H steep take off shooting flame out of one of the engines, 1986 with all the hawks phantoms lightnings and the tornados. I went to every air fete as far back as i remember sometimes going both days. Have a few sad memories too with the tricolori and T-34 crashes and the vintage pair collision just after they had told the tower that it was going to be their final pass. Still remember the meteor hitting the ground close to the edge of the town and driving home past the wreckage like it was yesterday.
What about the nimrod and F4J anything saved from them?
Some of the fuselage of the nimrod ended up at warton for testing. And the phantom was ZE351 which was scrapped in 1995 from memory.
It was XJ782 and it survived until 1988 when it was scrapped.
Great shots Gary, Really like the Ferocious Frankie and TD248 pic.
hi, the airfield is babdown farm, a flying training airfield during the war.
Could be Babdown
