    Thanks 92fis,

The Buchon is a personal favourite, far more practical than a DB engined 109.

    Septic.

A favourite of mine too, Also good to see Lee Proudfoot flying MH434 at the weekend. I hope we get to see him flying it for many years to come as he really does fly it well.

I am sure RR299 was at Biggin circa 1991, I was there with the Harvard and was given an invite up inside which I had to decline due to prepping the Harvard for display, I was hoping to go back later for a view inside but did not. went in the Hendon one about 1977ish.

I’m sure that RR299 was there in 91 going from memory.

😀 😀 Its some weird looking new American type helicopter, very interesting when the smoke goes and it takes to the sky!!! LOL 😀 😀

It’s likely to be a MV-22, there is a version called the HV-22 but that’s supposed to be the US navy combat rescue version.

Nice pic’s of the Buchon, looked a little different to the last time i saw it at Duxford when it was being restored by OFMC. It looked and sounded great saturday.

Sorry Steve, I can’t honestly say I’d blame them.

Same with the Germans and their towels. I have no hesitation i chucking them off the loungers.

Well said re the Beau 🙂

    Moggy

That’s a bit unfair of you Moggy, Poor German sitting there with his towel and you come along and throw them off. :diablo: 😀

Aerostars are a good display item but legends they are certainly not. I’d have rather seen Lee proudfoot and Alistair kay in the spitfire and mustang take that slot and used it as a tribute to Ray Hanna.

I think that just about completes it.

Apologies to 92fis, for pinching your thread 🙂

It was your title and some other famous poem, I know not which, I can only remember the general stanza, that inspired me.

    No worries, nicely done. 🙂

It will be sad to see the P-47 leave after 20 years, But hopefully we will see some good stuff in the next 20 years or so.

Also spare a thought for Hoof Proudfoot who lost his life 10 years ago.
