Black 2 was only at Duxford from 1995.

Seem to remember it having a problem at one of the Duxford shows in 95, possibly the VE Day Airshow or possibly a OFMC flying day.

That the one Trolly Aux, thanks for posting the video. That was a pretty special moment when Mark Hanna in Black 2 along with Black 6 came in from Duxford, and then to see them formate with the BBMF. Mark then landed and Black 6 returned to Duxford.

What year did the Duxford incident happen? Must have been before 1989 as I don’t remember seeing the aircraft.
I did see the 109 when it was in formation with Black 6, Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster at Biggin Hill. Must have been about 91.

It was at North Weald where it flew with the BBMF and Black 6, and it either 95 or 96 when Mark Hanna had to make that landing.

Shame, but looked like the pilot handled the situation very well. I got banned from UKARse for my comment to someone who should know better!

I too wondered if they would get all the biplanes up together. Also thought it strange that all the airworthy Hurricanes there are, they only managed one from France and the BBMF one. Still a good show overall even though there are quite a few aircraft that couldn’t/didn’t participate.

Thanks Boghopper and Huw, thought it was him in the P-51. The Bump, I don’t really listen to the commentary too much. According to them Bud Anderson took off in Miss Velma and then came back in Old Crow! The one Interview I wanted to hear (Bud Anderson) was mostly drowned out by the Pleasure flight aircraft.

    Paul Bonhomme-Hurricane
    Dan Friedkin-P-51c
    Ed Shipley-Spitfire
    Steve Hinton-P-47

Is that what you saw or read? It looked like Ed in the mustang, and also on there walk through pics earlier in this thread Ed was walking beside Paul Bonhomme in the slot that the Mustang took.
