    I wasn’t moaning about those recent exports just adding to trumpers post. No matter what gets exported something special normally gets imported in their place, just have to wander around duxford to see how much its changed from the late seventies to see that. I for one am grateful for the people that give their time and money to collect these valuable aircraft.

    It was john watts who sadly lost his life in the tornado collision. He was part of plane sailing along with paul warren wilson

    The base in the pic is almost definately raf honnington in suffolk. The formation used to fly through this area almost daily, awesome sound as it droned its way across the suffolk countryside. Still remember listening on my scanner to the B-25 directing mark hanna’s attacks on the formation of B-17’s and looking up seeing the sun glint off the buchon’s wings as mark turned in for each pass.

    Propstrike i think the base may have been honnington but i wouldn’t put money on it.
