Yes I am guilty – but out of respect to forum rules on selling stuff here I will say no more. if anyone has any questions feel free to pm me 🙂
Sounds like Elliot is brokering the old Bernie Salter cockpit?
Does it contrarotate?
what is it?
what is it from?
what year?
Yes he has!
Thanks Adam 🙂
… and he has sent you an email 🙂
Thanks for allowing us a look Colin.
I thought after seeing the BBMF winter pictures you may like to see some of our winter pics, no no no nothing like BBMF or the others posted here but hope you may enjoy.

THAMESIDE STORE ROOM
I believe these were also used on Halifax’s – a friend of mine found one a few years back on a hillside – scrunched up into a ball. He restored it and now it looks like new!
Hi DaveR
I have seen this type panel on mosquitos as well. Curved top, with raised “Swaged” ridges inbetween the instruments. To create this sort of form in a panel, this thick, would need a heavy press/steel tooling to achieve. I have never seen one for sale.
That’s a nice looking throttle box! Hopefully will upgrade our similar throttlebox too soon. 🙂
Err, forget what this bit is…. 😉
Cees, any part numbers to go on?
Awesome Alan – you lucky devil!
Can’t find any other panel pics at present, how about a Defiant throttle box instead?
Thanks Geoff
Curiosity satisfied.
Hi Turbo NZ
The word on the street is that they acquired some original Horsa wheels – I suppose they are the ones in the pics – not sure what condition they are in though.
Regards
What an amazing and relevant project. Well done so far !! 🙂
Question, what were the wheels from originally ?
They genuine Horsa ones ?
Just curious.Cheers

Great pics guys – well done to Peter and his team – he is a very lucky guy indeed.
If anybody is really bothered the mods can split the thread
Can’t see the point myself.

I’m sorry if any of you are offended by my ‘mad’ comment – it’s just that I think this trivialises his passing. I’ll try and post a proper obit and we can all move on 🙂
Elliot
the labels are easily made. I had them done at a local trophy shop and they are lamacoid(plastic) labels. All up it cost around 200 GBP.
Bruce your right I have almost 1000 gbp invested into it so it should be worth considerably more….?
Yes – but I was looking at it from the point of view of making one. If I were to put a hali panel together it would cost around £1500.
The ebay one was apparently paid for too by the looks of things but it was grossly over valued as were many items in that sale. There is another replica Lanc panel on ebay as we speak (not as nice as the last one though) – I will be very interested to see what it goes for!
This is the Halifax panel project I have been working on over the past 2 to 3 years. I wonder what it would fetch? No it is not for sale just curious..
Hi Peter
I would say around £1500, but doesn’t seem enough really – nice seeing the lights working!! Very well done.
One question – any chance of a close up of the labels? They look very nice and can be a real challenge 🙂
First the sonar scan of the sunken Sunderland and now this.
The Times’ aviation correspondent skating on thin ice methinks.
Mark
I think you are all mad. The pic looked real enough in the Times.
Can we concentrate on Frank and not bizarre and anal speculation over the photo please? The man deserves our total respect.
