Finally a few from a quick visit to the rather good viewing area at Kuala Lumpur. Although a lot of the traffic cannot be photographed, it is easy to photography what is in within reach:
Malaysia Airlines is obviously dominant here:

Although BA does not serve Kuala Lumpur, KLM does:

Lion Air can also be found here – this time a 737-800:

And Malaysia Ailriens has a large 737 fleet for short haul flights:

I hope these are of interest. As always comments (and complaints) are welcome!
China is also well represented with Shanghai Airlines (a lovely old school livery):

China Southern:

And Xiamen Airlines (another nice old fashioned livery):

Cebu Pacific from the Philippines also visit regularly:

Thanks ~Alan~, Culpano and EGTC for your comments.
~Alan~: As far as I know, the resident spotters in the old terminal cafe have relocated to the Lancaster Bar next to the Vulcan.
Culpano: Thanks again, I’m glad that shot worked, as I was expected a very quick takeoff run (off the ground in less than 2000 feet), and was concerned it wouldn’t work.
EGTC: Yes it certainly is to see progress with the ATP – however it has been a bit slow, with the aircraft having done many engine tests! It hasn’t flown in 5 years. I certainly hope to see it fly!
Thanks again EGTC and Culpano – I agree the – the spot for landing shots at the end of 06 is excellent and very, very close. Dare I say that Aero 737s are pretty common at Southend – no less than 3 on the ground at the moment! 😎
Thanks Alan.
The aircraft opposite ATC Lasham are all in storage having been returned to their respective leasing companies. They are all former Brussels Airlines aircraft – hence the similarity of their colour schemes. This is one of them:

Thanks rab5869, Alan, Culpano and by738 – was pleased with the biz 737 – hasn’t been at SEN for 9 years! The Malmo RJs will be on their way out soon – they nwill be replaced by the C series – so a few more years yet fortunately. Very pleased to have the Volotea 717 – although the flight will be operated by more conventional equipment next year – a Jetairfly 737….
Certainly! And we know have the last production 727 on the UK register -G-OSRA – an oil spill response aircraft under conversion at Lasham.
Thanks by738 and Culpano. I agree that the BA Saab is very smart indeed, and I was pleased with the results with the panning.
Thanks Tartan Pics. Would certainly recommend LCY especially in the evening on the dock side. I just hope the Flynopnstop service lasts, it didn’t carry nearly enough passengers last month.
Thanks Indiaecho and EGTC. Was an excellent evening.
Thanks Newforest – spelling now corrected – I was certainly typing too fast! It is just excellent seeing a 727 in action!
Thanks again MSR777, by728 and Alan. I agree that the Jet2 wasn’t especially exciting – although they are in a rush to get new aircraft into service – I’m sure ti will be painted properly eventually. The ‘livery’ looks better on the Boeing than the Titan Airbus.
Thanks MSR777 and by737 for your comments. I;m glad you like them – as I was quite pleased about how they turned out. I agree that the Flynonstop is very nice indeed so I just hope they last!
Thanks EGTC!
Excellent shots with lovely evening light – the Kingfisher in full livery is an excellent catch indeed.
Nice shot of the 767 too, I was amazed how quickly it seems to get off the ground – presumably it goes somewhere close such as East Midlands?
