What’s so ridiculous about it? The fact that theyr’e a badly-publicised airline representing your country’s main airport? That I admit is a fair point bearing in mind that Dispatches program.
How are other airlines such Aer Arann and Aer Lingus doing at DUB compared to Ryanair?
Look at Jet2 at LBA, or EZY at STN etc.
Oh I see.
Well just had a look on my camera and this is what it says: ZOOM NIKKOR ED 5.8-17.4mm 1:3.0-5.4
A nice landing, with the city right under you! A great looking plane too.

Ah yes, I saw an ISO sign coming up on the screen yesterday and wondered what it was about.
As for shutter speeds, I’m not really sure if I can change it or not. I probably can, but I have to change it via a scene mode (you see my cam’s not very advanced).
And aperture, hmm. I’ll see if I can find something on that, whatever it is.
Thanks. 🙂
Thanks for the advice! I’m currently practising on cars, and then will go on to planes when I get the chance to encounter one.
Moving the camera? Hmm, I’ll give that a go. Will it not make the subject of the photo a bit blurry though?
Nice shots, love the Malaysian B777! 🙂
The LH 319 doesn’t like me.
Nice pics! 😀
Oh, great photos!
Strangely, the only ones I don’t like are the two with promotional schemes. How odd.
Yeah TBH they have more of an Indian look, but to me they just shout out Far East.
Just curious, oriental, as in Chinese/Japanese/Korean?
I think that the meaning of the word “oriental” changes from the US to Europe. Here in the US, an oriental person is someone from the far-east Asian country.
As to the tails, I’m personally not too keen on them simply because they detract from a unifying corporate livery.
Oriental as in a cross between far east and middle east.
Very oriental looking!
I personally don’t like it on the 737, looks great on heavies.
bmi have served the route since 1969, making it the longest served from LHR.
The DC-9 was the mainstay of the route for many years. The DC-9s were replaced by Fokker 100s in 1996, and Boeing 737-500s also became a familiar sight on the route. The 737s were transferred to bmibaby a couple of years ago, and the Fokker 100s were recently retired from the fleet, leaving a mix of Airbus A319 / A320s to operate the route.
bmi also have a business class lounge at the airport.
Aviance check in bmi’s passengers.
Got that from A.Net. 🙂
A great Sunny day! Really do hope these type of days pop up this Summer. 😀
