Great stuff, Maarvin. Roll on next season! Come and introduce yourself and have a beer with the rest of the happy band next season – there’s usually a meet-up at the beer hut an hour or two before the flying starts. 🙂
Right-ho! I’ll be there. Probably be camping out in a nearby field from April 😉

do any of you snappers make much money out of such wonderful photography?
It’s quite an honour to be included in the above statement. I’m well chuffed.
Sigh…..The amount of times I’ve been approached with the immortal line can I use your pic? I’ll give you full credit for it. Still it’s a hobby. Gets us out in the fresh air. 😉
Regards.

Maarvin, were you “Laptop Man”?
Rob
Not me – I’ve been called many things in my time, but that’s not one of them. 😀 A nice flask of coffee has more priority in my bag anyway, especially in the chillier evening displays.
I know it doesn’t fit the remit but……..I miss the LvG.

Ah, that’s Robbo? Yes, I think I have some pics somewhere too. Nice to “meet” you sir.
Lovely pics Septic

There really are some fabulous a/c stored there. The museum itself also has some incredible airframes, it must rate very high in top museums in Europe.
I couldn’t agree more. This thread has been a great eye opener for me.
Many thanks.

Great news!

I do believe we have met, you usually sit near the tower. We were chatting last season about the relative merits of the 100-400 or 70-200+2x.
That’s right MOTF, I remember it well. It’s good to put a face to a name here. That was my first outing with that kit and you gave a great deal of advice which was much appreciated.
You also introduced me to the wonderful world of dust on the sensor – something of which I had been blissfully ignorant up to then. Paranoia set in that day…….. 😮

Resize in a graphics package and save them at a suitable compression to get them under the 100KB limit.
There’s a 100KB limit? I should’ve read the manual 😮
Many thanks for the kind comments everyone.
Phillip, I’m using a Canon 10D with a 70-200 Canon LIS lens + 2x extender.

Fascinating shots everyone. Many thanks for posting.
Lovely shots 😀
Forgive the number of Spit shots in this sequence, but it was one of the finest displays I’ve seen at Old Warden. A fitting end to a great season.
Regards to all.
Maarvin
Great Pics. Thanks very much for posting. I echo the sentiments about the Buchon – and it would be wonderful to see that Dr.1 at Shuttleworth some time….

I received a copy as a birthday present a few days ago. I’m still revelling in the original Walton score 🙂
