Pete, it appears that all the spark plug leads on the upper harness come out of one side with the leads on the right bank going under the main harness. Is this correct? Also where does the upper harness attached to the engine.

    Thanks,
    John

MerlinPete, thanks. This and other photos of your rebuild were what I was looking for and answered a couple of other questions I also had. Again many thanks

Did not realize it was an older video. I’m looking forward to seeing her in the correct colors.

A friend emailed me video of it a couple of days ago. Looks like PRU blue with invasion stripes and the Merlin sounds great.:D

Absolutely. As has been pointed out nosewheel aircraft are considerably easier to land than taildraggers. The predominance of nosewheel types in the US is almost certainly a reflection of the lower standard of US pilots. :p

Not all of us. I’ve got more taildragger time than tricycle gear. I also prefer a stick to a wheel.

LOved the photos of the Eastern Airlines DC-3. Reminded me of when they used to fly into Nashville, TN back in my much younger days.:)

Great photos Pen Pusher. I enjoyed seeing the Rata, The French Corsair (I’m assuming that it was an F4U-7) and the P-51 in post war markings. All in all a great job.
