Once again … thanks for those nice comments ….. a few more, some will answer a few of the questions !
Keith. 😎
First aircraft seen upon landing !! What was it doing there ?? somewhat hotter than Calgary I suppose ?

Some of the people who were on the trip with me are on this Islander, having been to St Barts, to experience the landing ??
Talking of signs …. the most famous from the ‘Sunset Bar’
Didn’t see too many poker players around the place ! :diablo:
Three Holers In The Carribean ……

Didn’t see people being blown at the fence !! This view from the other side of Maho Bay …. look at the guy with the flag ! he seems to appear every time a Ansel Air MD 82/3 taxies out to place itself at the very end of the runway, nearest to the famous fence …. his flag is as is on the tail of the aircraft (see earlier photo) but it certainly works !!
And a lovely little aircraft so far from its birthplace !
WoW … Thank you all for the nice comments …. Yes if you are ever thinking of going … just do it ! The Ian Allen Tour I was with was supurb ! This place and Miami International, a ramp tour at Opa Locka, and visits to two airports on Puerto Rico on the way there and on the way back to Florida ! So a million more photos to come 🙂 …..
Keith.
The blue hue below the landing shots is the reflection of the blue sea in Maho Bay, and sometimes the golden sand from the beach !!

And the lovely surfboard updater ?
Waiting in the Wings. A few DC-10 30F from last week at Opa Locka !
Keith.

I don’t know !! Leave the place for 5mins and people start nicking parts :diablo:
Nice chopper pics again ! I hear that G-PERB arrived by ‘truck’ (note the US phrase ?) yesterday ??
Keith. 🙂
Vee One. Thank you but … Please sit around and await the rest of the photos I have from this trip ….. these will include some very “up close and personal” photos of a flying classic …….
Keith.
Maikel. Thank you … a supurb collection that will be looked at so many times and still we will always find something new every time 🙂
Keith.
Thanks guys for those nice comments, I have changed the above Vueling photo for a better one !
And And And later today look what arrived at NWI for a paint job ……. !!

And a couple of recent movements ….

I was there for a week several years ago 15ish ? and went on an organised coach trip to various parts of the island, one stop was at a British war cemetry attached to a Naval installation ….. they do not like cameras at all !! before we were allowed to disembark the coach we were all “looked at” in depth by an armed sailor ! to ensure we had no cameras !!
You must remember that, technicaly, Greece is still “at war” ????
But a supurb place for looking at many era’s of life all on a small island !
Keith.
Isn’t that the first Turbomeca Tumbleweed dash 200 to be seen in the UK ?
Is it not scheduled to arrive at so many regional airports within the forseeable future !
Keith :diablo:
No I am not Bin Laden ! …… but I will keep my hands up ….. if you insist ?

Keith.
Umm BumbleBee, Hi 🙂 Has he got a Zip in his trousers ? an often overlooked source of metal ???
Keith :diablo:
John , look at photo 3, the guy with his head ‘up the bum’ of a chopper has no idea of what is going on …. outside of his field of view ?? 😎
Nice one JB !
Keith.
I wish I could make this photo larger ??? It was taken at Stansted, showing a Tudor hovering above a collection of Prentices, during the days when Stansted was overflowing with aircraft of all sizes and shapes ??
Happy Daze !
Keith.
