    I found the owner of this photos name somewhere, but can’t remember now, so credit to he or she for a colour pic of two Skyways Yorks at Heathrow.

    Having been born at Stansted (1948), I remember all of these beauties doing their thing !!

    Sorry guys, but in my opinion there is no such thing as a poor quality picture of a York, there is a picture of a York !!! Oh how I am loving this !!!

    Every photo tells a story !
    I started a thread in October 2008 “Photos of an RAF career 1930’s to 1960’s”
    this was based solely on a collection of photos I have access to, since that time this thread has had 17,555 hits and 356 comments, all very favourable, do not remember anyone complaining ?

    Rob68, Naff all aviation history in Dubai, although a very interesting museum in next door Sharjah, search for links to that on this forum, it’s very close ! just over the river ! Although having said that there are quite a lot of very old Russian aircraft ferrying supplies to the troops in Iraq from Dubai ???
    I would certainly reccomend the ‘seawings’ seaplane adventure, a 30 minute flight around the main parts of Dubai in a cessna floatplane, although it costs about £100 per person ! gives you these sort of views ….

    Sorry being ‘non tech’ I dont know which is an F1 ???

    Both photos are from Leuchars Air Shows.

    The upper one is from 1961.

    The lower one is from 1968.

    Sorry can’t be of any more help !
