It’s a Challenger 300, Martin, and we strongly suspect that it’s MAN regular G-UYGB sold overseas.
Nice, I did have a look on most of the popular sites for the reg but couldn’t find it anywhere.
A quick look on the CAA G-INFO site comes up with this…
Potential change of Registered Ownership in progress
Explains all now 😀
Nice shots Grey Area, I do like that biz jet. Is it from the Hawker family, can’t find any trace of it on the net.
Fred, great camera work on the AN-22, looks great mate.
Great video Fred, you must have been stood just up from me. Were you near a guy with a set of step ladders?
Thanks mate, no sadly I missed the An-22 and the Aravas due to work 🙁
The SP was a huge bonus though as was the Transavia 737, we haven’t seen one of those here for a while after the pulled out a few years back. He started just after 9am and was still bashing the CCT at half four! Next day he was still at it!
Yep, he reported smoke in the cockpit about 70 miles south of Glasgow and made a rapid descent from 35,000 right down to about 12,000 in about 40 miles. At first we thought it was a pressurisation problem judging by his rate of descent.
The joys of being sat in front of the radar screen!
Boabby, where to start! Great shots mate, brilliant selection of biz jets aswell. I do like that US registered falcon 2000!
Further to my last post, I did a bit of digging on the net and it didn’t take me long to find some info on this jet.
Apparently this is the aircraft that the Emir and Kuwaiti VIP’s use for long range flights. Unlike the rest of the Kuwait Airways fleet, the aircraft (named Al-Jabriya) sports the Kuwaiti Government emblem on permanent basis behind the flight deck windows. The aircraft does operated scheduled flights too, however, the upper deck it sealed and no one is allowed to use it. It is only opened or used when the aircraft is operating on VIP flights such as this one.
Hope this helps.
Great pics mate, agree with the others that the 747 is the pic of the bunch!
Cloud_9, many of the Middle Eastern Royal families/governments choose to paint their VIP aircraft in the national airlines colours. Royal Jordanian, Saudia, Qatar to name just a few. The aircraft probably isn’t in your normal airline cabin, more likely in a plush VIP fit with room for the VIP and his entourage.
I may be totally wrong on this one, but I did snap a State of Kuwait A320 at LHR not so long ago in what looked like “normal” Kuwait Airways colours. Grey Area, hope you don’t mind me posting this up 🙂

I recall seeing pictures of a MyTravel Airbus 330 wearing Garuda Indonesia titles not so long ago, I’m sure that was involved in Hajj trips.
Nice shots mate, I like the First Choice 767. Shame it wasn’t the Dreamlifter!
The 124 is almost a regular visitor. I think I’m more shocked if I don’t see one on the ground when I’m at work
Very nice, I do like the DHL Airbus shot.
Going to be honest, I don’t really believe this story. Not sure what the pic is but I don’t think its as the story says.
Yep, definately sad to see some of these go. A couple from me, some scanned from 35mm slides.
