Does anyone know who he purchased the trademark rights from?
Must be from Mrs. Mariam Abacha (of Nigeria) 😀
and honestly, I dont mind paying a subscription via paypal.. if that gets the board rid of all the ads and stickies 😉
Ofcourse everyone appreciates that the forum is free, keymags pay for it etc etc etc..
But I am on the side of the OP. (Original Poster). So many stickies are not really needed. Its accepted practice all over the internet that if the announcements and stickies are more than four, then they are a distraction. I have not found any such boards as on date which i frequent.
the OP was just giving suggestions to improve the board . Its upto the webbie and mods to take the suggestion in the right spirit, but facing responses like ‘are you payihg for it?’ ‘is it too dificult to scroll down’ are counter productive.

Indian Defiants.
IIRC, there was a nice photo on the web of an Indian sub-continent based Defiant. D@mned if I can find it now. I’ll have a look. It wasn’t in the IAF, but RAF operated. Of course as it may have replaced the IAF Lysanders in the TT Role, the Defiants may have co-operated with IAF aircraft, and been flown by IAF crews from Hurricanes etc.
Cheers
Oh please , please find it whenever you have the time! Maybe this profile above was made from that image?
Off the topic, and this one related to Hurricanes
I am also trying to find out the original source photograph that resulted in this oft seen profile/model.. anyone recollect seeing this one from an original War time photo?

Finally a Defiant in SEAC Colors. If these made it to the Far East, surely the IAF ones must have looked like this!
RIP
Time to lock and loll? 😀 LOL!!!

Hey I use Picasa 2.0. There is abutton called ‘Iam feeling lucky’ which seems to amazingly transform a dull and dreary image to a better looking one..
what kind of normal operations does this button actually do?
The idea is good to have the photographic forum as it will move all the photo threads there…(and possibly take all the ‘will it be at legends?’ questions with it ;)).
I would have liked a link from the historic forum to the photo forum… if i am logging in direct to the historic forum thru a book mark, i would n’t knw that the other forum is there… plus navigation would be easy.
1) Always remember to take the lens cap off
2) Ask your chemist to do ‘enprints’. These are bigger and look better in your album
Moggy
whats an enprint? sorry too lazy at this moment to google.
No, hes talking about the Devil (SA-2) missile project. Nothing to do with the Prithvi.
Devil is right, i was trying to search for that name, and all i could remember was ‘Vampire’ and ‘Phantom Dog’… the latter was closer to devil i guess… 😀
For those who recommend Reverse Engineering, I suggest the section in ‘Weapons of Peace’ in which a team of Air force officers and DRDO scientists reverse engineered the SA-2 SAM System. The issues tht they faced with fabrication and manufacturing special alloys and equpment for it opened my eyes – that RE is not a cakewalk as we make it out to be.

Further examination showed a large military parade happening in Delhi – it was the Republic Day Rehearsal Parade. And no surprise, soon I found an Agni Ballistic Missile .
in the google earth, just turn on your bbs.keyhole.com filter on, and select military links while browsing delhi and you will find the place mark appear in delhi indicating the aircraft and the missile.
