Pretty certain the signature says “P Doot”, maybe wrong about the first initial being a “P” but the Surname I’m sure is “Doot”

Reviving an old thread here but thought I would post this here since I got most of my references for this aircraft skin from this very thread (thanks guys).

It shouldn’t have cannons etc. but I cannot remove them from the model so please overlook them 🙂

There are a few areas that I had to guess at since there seems to be very few pictures of this paint scheme, be happy to change areas if more references become available.

I have been doing a lot of researh on this beutifull aircraft and the underside is silver as well as the “cheat line”/lightning bolt. now if only I could find out what “regal blue” actualy looks like. I am building a scale RC aircraft of that bird and will post pisctures here as it comes about if you would like.

Thanks for the info – looks as though I did the “cheat line” gold instead of silver – sure I read it was gold though.

I used this link to get the “Regal Blue” colour Regal Blue

Is Chris also known as Bear_Boradin? Yeah that’s a great movie as well, resides in the same folder as the “Mitchell” does on my system and all the ones I have in that folder are my favourites 😀 (theres only 5 that made it in there)

Well I went ahead and gave it a bare metal underside as i’m sure someone mentioned that this was the case and it certainly looks to be that way from the real pictures available – hope you like it.

Yeah guys, I have no control over the dimensions of the 3d model as it cannot be altered – I am just making a paint scheme for the existing model.

Any info about my question on the colour of the underside?

I’m trying to make a skin of this plane for a flight simulator/game – the only part I’m really not sure about is the underside i.e. what colour it is – I have seen pictures of a model of this plane and it is the same colour as the upper side of the plane but have read and can vaguely see that it looks to be a different colour on the underside of the wings, possibly bare metal?

Anybody got any info on this – much appreciated.

Here it is so far, not the game does not have access to the proper MK. of Spit so I used a Mk.VIII Clipped Wing.

Hi there, did anyone ever confirm what the underside of this bird looked like? Colours etc.

    Thanks
