Ooh Snapper, that’s a harsh diss there. I thought this thread was closed, end of story, but you people had to make it personal. I admit the original thread was misleading but that is no fault of my own. I would explain but I can’t be bothered – sorry chaps.

Oh, and about the ‘uptight’ remark; UKAR was a perfectly good place and still is, I’d rather spend my time over there than on Key. Many of you who consider DB as a God (Zeus? Mars? Venus?) may find this life shattering but it was because of the Great Man himself that the UKAR board began to deteriorate. Like many great men, DB’s power and command consumed his mind, and he became in most users’ eyes a torment. During the hour in which UKAR rebelled, he banned a number of people for simply asking what the hell was going on, cause I for one could not see what he was planning to do.

Yeah, I will go back to UKAR, and I won’t come back here. It’ll only make me feel sick, all these people sucking up to DB and his magnificent photos.
“Ooh, Damien, those pics make me feel gooood oooh!” *Licky licky*

    Pathetic.

If you want to diss UKAR – try it for yourselves before you make a judgement. relying on the run away to tell tales speaks volumes for you, and the other members here. The fact remains its a better place to be than here; nicer people, more information and you dont have to fear being shot down for contributing. The ‘cesspit’ that he controlled for all that time – if it was that bad, why didn’t he do something? Make some major changes? Come on Mr. Burke, I would like an answer. Or ban me. Come on. Do it. Make you feel powerful.

Ask DB why he left. Ask him why everyone turned on him. Ask him why he post on warplane now after calling it a board “infested with children”? And what’s with the jet dissing? There are people on UKAR who favour jets over warbirds, but they don’t pi$$ take just for the sake of it.

Keep your poncy board, keep your exclusive club, keep your egos, and keep your brown noses.

Oh and Anna – these are NOT LIES!

Oh and Ashley, I first read this info on the “cesspit” – DB will know what I’m talking about 😮 , before receiving the email from the IWM so before you people shoot me down for posting what I originally heard then I guess I’ll crawl back to UKAR where we are all free.

Well I can confirm from the OFMC’s Laura Wetton that the La9 is NOT going to NZ. It is staying HERE.

The info regarding the La9 actually came from the flying programme for Sunday, the IWM kindly sent me. I can post up the provisional running order if anyone’s interested…

I love rumours when they come from the IWM’s very mouth…or at least, what they implied.

Did Twilight Tear display at Goodwood over the weekend, as it wasn’t at Duxford? If so, who was the pilot?

I recently spoke to a guy at DX about this. Apparently they have 32 aircraft to prepare for the opening in 2006. He also said that they are planning to remove all a/cs from the superhanger, then dismantle it and build the new Megahanger.

Look forward to seeing if all that I was told is/was correct. Report back here Ashley. Would be muchos appreciated. 🙂

I was there too! Thought it was great, only downer being the weather.

The flying was all exceptional, the Blenheim being a particularly spirited display. Truly was a flag-waving, typically English occassion (you don’t get those very often these days) and I’d certainly recommend next year’s event to anyone.

The plural of Wessex is Wessex, as with Lynx, Fish etc

Ah yes! Saw them yesterday, flying East, near the Kent coastline. I was wondering that they were!? Also at Manston yesterday were:

    2x Puma
    2x German Bo105
    1x SH-14D
    1x Dutch Apache 🙂

Legends 98, one guy on a step ladder as the Jacquard Spit XIV roared off for the balbo, cried ‘Oh YES!’ as the five bladed prop nearly decapitated him. The things some people do for their photographs 😀
