Considering that RuAF jets made precise night strikes on moving terrorist targets, there is a good question if Platan complex in Su-34 also have FLIR channel inside.
This NK MiG-29 cockpit remind on the cockpit from some early Su-27 fighters. Only it seems, that this radar screen is bigger than original MiG-29 radar screen. Maybe NK did some modernization on their MiGs, question is, who could help them or could they do it themselves. Also there is a question, how deep this modernization is.
It is hardly to distinguish position of IRST, but it have single nose wheel. There are not many early Su-30 around. 18 ex-Indian Su-30K are in Belarus and 12 of them are sold to Angola. Most probably it is Su-27UB. Is this video real? Difficult to say. Iran could buy some second hand. I know Uzbekistan is selling them, Belarus also retire their Su-27 fleet, maybe even from Ukraine, which is also well known for corruption. China is also retiring their early Su-27 batches. Considering, that Iran made a decision to buy Su-30 fighters, buying some Su-27UB jets would make sense as pilots could become familiar with Flankers before they get their first Su-30 and their transition to new Su-30 fighters would be easier.
True, It have 18 missiles and no guns.
[QUOTE=TR1;2376585]I am curious as to what setting the 10% fuel consumption reduction is at.

Considering, that production of Russian helicopters didn’t went down, this only means that Russia produce more and more engines domestically.
It is nonsense to think that Argentina coulod buy Gripen or Tejas jets. They both have British components inside and England will never allow them to be selled to Argentina. Also if the buy Tejas, than considering the Indian production progress, than Argentina could wait for them for decades.
The best choice for Argentina is to buy MiG-29SMT or MiG-29M2 jets as they have longer range than MiG-29A and more modern equippment with Zhuk-M radar. MiG-35 will also get AESA radar, so there will be no problem to modernize MiG-29M with it. Other option is Su-30SM, which is still one of the best fighters.
Drone shot down maybe? Though that star seen to have weathered a lot more then the ground strike markings.
I don’t think the star is weathered, but it is painted white. I wonder, what the white star is marking. Maybe something associated with US.
India to Kick Off Competition for New Foreign Single-Engine Fighters

So, MiG-21 will be the main Indian fighter for another 20 years. :applause: India should restart productiopn of new MiG-21 fighters, that they will have time to choose the plane which will replace MiG-21. And when they will choose it, it will be old enough to go to museum.
Not aviation related, but still related to Syria. ISIL destroy Turkish Leopard-2 tank and capture 2 Leopard-2 tanks near AL-Bab town in northern Syria. It looks like Leopard 2 tanks didn’t do any better than older Sabra tanks and it looks like Turk army is not that well prepared for their operation against ISIL although they have a lot of experiences in war against Kurds in SE Turkey.
Excellent news, Syrian army and allies have fully liberated Aleppo city. This is the most important victory in syria. Now SAA units from Aleppo could go to liberate Palmyra again and destroy ISIS terrorist on their way to Deir Er Zor.
Now everything is clear. US and UK, the main terrorists sponsors, responsible for terrorist attacks around the World, will impose sanctions against Russia, because they are actually fighting with terrorists and destroy them in Syria. You could not liberate civilians in Aleppo without destroying terrorist there, which terrorize them and use them as human shield. The only way is to bomb terrorists and kill them. Aleppo and Syria will be liberated, when the last terrorist will be killed.
Seems a bit strange to go to the effort of retaining and upgrading a mere half-dozen Su-33s in service with unique training/logistics requirements when you have those shiny MiG-29KRs. It isn’t like Russia has extra flattops lying around begging for an air wing…
With new engines, I would say, they will serve for decades. No sense tp renegine them with new engines with longer service life if they will not serve for at least two decades. I think their main job will be over the sea patroling in Arctic region from Severomorsk ground airbase.

Russia will restart production of AL-31F series 3 engines specially for Su-33 fighters in Ufa. Those engines will receive same modifications as new series of AL-31F engines, which have longer life time.
A threat obviously. An empty one too.
So his suggestion is to let the terrorists go free, so they then can harm Russia and continue to harm Syria, or kill them off and somehow face terror? Russia has faced Islamic terror for decades, if not for a century or more. Kirby not only sounded like a complete idiot but also gives the impression that they control the terrorist groups. Which then proves the tinfoil hat conspirators correct that US is a terrorist sponsoring nation (this was obvious during the Soviet Afghan war though).
A good response is go ahead and try, and continue to bomb US assets (terrorists and personnel if embedded with terrorists) in Syria.
Both. Kirby is a complete idiot like the whole US administration and US is the main sponsor of international terrprists and the ONE, who control and coordinate terrorist acts around the World. Why do you think Obama gives veto to sue Saudis for 9/11 terrorist attacks? To hide and to maintain immunity against prosecution for terrorism around the World.
Another interesting, yet VERY frustrating video:
Su-35 did a very interesting maneuver at 1:19. I don’t think it is possible without 3D TVC.
