Buk-M2 have anti-ballistic capabilities and could engage targets with speed of 1200 m/s. Buk-M2 and Buk-M3 use PESA radar instead of old mechanical radar in Buk-M1. In naval version, there is a good question, if Orekh radar for Shtil complex use older mechanical radar antenna or newer Pesa. With older radar it have degraded capabilities even with 9M317 missiles, what we could see with Buk-M1-2, which use old Buk-M1 radar and newer 9M317 missiles.

Are Su-24 shelters big enough for Su-34 to be stored inside?

Considering, that Flanker lost in one scenario of many, than it is most probably in scenario of BVR, where Gripen C/D have the most modern radar and AMRAAM missiles and Flanker have basic N001 radar and R-27R missiles. In other scenarios it seems old basic Flanker is still the match to the latest Gripen fighters. But again, we do not know, how effective could be Sorbtsia-S ECM pods with cross-eye jamming against AMRAAMs and R-27ET missiles against Gripens. Also we do not know, if those Flankers China send to Thailand are upgraded to use R-77 missiles and if they are, are they allowed to use those capabilities in exercise. I don’t think China have Sorbtsia-S ECM pods and R-77 ot PL-12 missiles with their Flankers on exercise. with Thai air force.

MiG-29K/KUB were well tested, before India receive them and a carrier. Every serial MiG-29K which India receive were tested and fully equipped. I really could not imagine, what components India have to install in a plane after delivery. The only logical explanation could be, that Indians went by their tradition to spoil their planes and start replacing original Russian components with foreign (Israeli?) and than it doesn’t work and than they start complaining how bad Russian equipment is. I’m really not surprised, why French lift the price for Rafale so high for India and why they don’t want to give any guaranty for Indian experiments with their Rafales. Similar with Indian Arjun tank. They take German Leopard 2 tank, install Israeli FCS in it and got a crap of tank.

Sometimes I wonder, why only India have problems, while other users don’t have.

That just sounds like nonsense IMO.

Them buying components directly to India, and mounting them on site?
All the new birds are tested in Russia before delivery, nobody does it another way. And what are these actual specific systems that MiG is unable to deliver on newly built aircraft??

If that was the case, Russian MiG-29Ks would be having even more issues, since they would not be able to import substitutes for all these supposed foreign components.

Btw a number of Russian companies have used the “import substitution need” excuse to explain work that was late anyways, but the way this article phrases it, seems to be something else entirely, not just a delay on the system being fully operational.

It’s just an old Indian habit to replace original components with components imported from anywhere around the World and than complaining because it doesn’t work. This is why we see this endless saga between France and India about Rafales.

I wouldn’t be surprised if RuAF tests S-8KOR and S-13KOR guided rockets on their helicopters, specially on Mi-28N and Ka-52 as they are night and all weather capable and have laser guidance channels. I think even upgraded rockets could be still cheaper than ATGMs and S-13KOR would be very powerful weapon specially against light skin targets like those SUVs and trucks.

Do those RuAF helicopters in Syria, specially new Mi-28N and Ka-52 have data link C4I data link network to share situational pictures and to deliver targets inside the group? This is the same question for Iraqi Mi-35 and Mi-28 as they use IA-407 for target searching, as there would be good question regarding compatibility between Russian and US data link communications?

The 5 Most Powerful Navies of 2030

This prediction is wrong as there will be no UK in 2030. But they could add Japan on the list.

Both Mi-28N and Mi-24VM (Mi-35) are doing great job against terrorists in both, Syria and Iraq. Interesting is to notice, that Iraqi army more use ATGMs against terrorist targets, while RuAF more use rocket launchers instead of ATGMs. S-8 and S-13 rockets with max 4 km have shorter range than ATGMs, but on the other side they are cheaper. I would like to ask if RuAF use laser guided S-8KOR and S-13KOR rockets upgraded with Ugroza in Syria? S-8KOR have range up to 8 km and S-13KOR up to 9 km, what is comparable with ATGMs. This could explain, why RuAF mostly use rockets instead of ATGMs although terrorists have a lot of MANPADs.

Dept? Whole Europe is in dept more or less, what has that to do with anything?? Your post is on the JRS level. Full of Sputnik drama, but with no factual content.
Pls explain yourself in a more detailed way, in what way will Britain face a worse economical situation?

You think it is over? No, it is only a beginning. Breaking always bring to fall of economy. Just look at ex-Yugoslavia or ex-USSR. But the debt still have to be payed. All western states are dependent on new loans to operate and to live. When the big break begin, there will be no new loans, exports will fall, economy will go down, but the debt will still have to be payed. But with money shortage this is not possible or you have to cut other spendings. You know the recipe. At the end state is bankrupt.

After the Brexit, What’s Next for Defense?

After Brexit and break of UK, England will be hit far harder than Russia after the break of USSR, because of enormous debt. Russian army couldn’t afford anything for more than a decade and only in the last ten years Russia could modernize their army. England will be hit far harder and will be not able to afford anything for more decades. With the fall of economy, they will not be able to service their debt.

UK will soon be a history and UK military will be divided between 3 new states, Scotland, England and Wales and to enlarged Ireland as Northern Ireland will also inherit its part of UK military and bring it to united Ireland. Question is, how much will any part inherit from ex-UK. On the longer term, considering, that economy after Brexit will go down, there will be big cuts with all new entities and military strength will be well reduced. Most probably they could already forget about new carriers and F-35 jets.

Su-35S got its radome color changed.

No, all Su-35S have the same gray radomes and all Su-30SM have the same white radomes. Change was only with Su-34, where the first serial ones have gray radome and the rest have white radomes.

There is one more thing, which is strange. Considering, that the fuel depot and helicopters are in fire at the same time, it is strange that the wind over fuel depot blow in the opposite way than the wind over helicopters place, which is few hundred meters away. And nothing is damaged in between.
