So GSM’s fleet will consist of 737-600s, 757s and 767-300s.
GSM have/getting 737-300, 737-600, 737-700, 737-800, 757-200 and 767-300.
The only added extras you get with BA is a shuttle to Heathrow before you can finally fly on to your chosen destination.
Stuff BA and support our local airports, what ever airport that maybe.
I must say I am glad Ryanair have not launched a Glasgow to Madrid service. Would much prefer Easyjet to fly the route….
But who’s fares are better?
I’m sure if you lived in Leeds or Manchester you would say Jet2 are better as they offer a lot more routes direct from your local airport.
You cant really compare Jet2 and BA. Jet2 are a low cost airline, BA are full service. Compare Jet2 against Ryanair, Easyjet, FlyGlobespan etc.
Anyways, Jet2 are probably better than BA, its hard not to be better than our rip-off “national” carrier.
That’s because Lufthansa, Air France etc are full service scheduled airlines, Jet2 are a low cost scheduled airline. You get what you pay for………….well in most cases apart from BA where you pay high get low.
I thought the GSM 757s where coming from AA?
ps think the title should be changed from FlyGlobespan to Jet2 😀
Brilliant pictures.
The FCA 767s start in May 2007 I think it is, I think the routes are Orlando, Cancun and Punta Cana.
Might be a stupid question but why are their two FR 737s in at the one time? I though they only had one route from BRS, and that’s to DUB?
Will EI continue to operate long haul if MOL gets his way?
Must say I’m shocked KLM are not on this route! I just presumed they flew DUB-AMS.

I think Finnair axed EDI.
Fly with KLM from Glasgow to Helsinki via Amsterdam or SAS via Copenhagen.
GSM GLA-ATH was always going to be a seasonal route.
GRE have been operating GLA-ATH all year round for a few years now. The reason Air Scotland flights from Glasgow to Athens is only on sale till March is because they do not have their Summer 2007 flights on sale, not many airlines do at the moment.

GSM are not dropping Glasgow to Athens, they are yet to launch there full Summer 2007 program yet, so Glasgow to Athens along with a load of other routes that are operating at the moment are still to go on sale for Summer 2007.
Also FlyGlobespan are not the only airline operating this route, Air Scotland/Greece Airways/Top Air Jet operate Glasgow to Athens all year round.
The switch was confirmed a while ago now.
Prague wont be re-launched. The route never got of the ground in the first place.
