Equiped by RD-33??? NO WAY!
The J85 engine that originally equiped on F-5, which size is far different from RD-33.
There is project called VG-10 in early JAWA has showed a modified F-5 as two fin tails, but never built. Also there is a private version of F-5 also fitted fin like this show in early JAWA, but I forget them. So sad.
I have suggested Taiwan to buy Typhoon somewhere else.
Who is ELP?
here a Y-8 JSTAR to compare cabin size don’t seem very wide to me. the pictures look like the electronic equidment is inside the cockpit strange they put so much stuff in front.gotta be more electronic in rear of the plane.
What’s pic you posted! Here is more clear one! ๐
Not only did Boeing’s YUH-61 lose the LAMPS III competition to Sikorsky, Boeing also lost to the Hughes (later McDonnell Douglas) AH-64 in the AAH competition.
Boeing got as far as a mock-up with strange staggered side-by-side seating combined with a rotor system borrowed from the YUH-61.
I’ve attached a low quality scan of a Boeing publicity photo.
Very interesting of your Boeing AAH mockup. It seem to be a paratactic seat helicoptoer, but the photo is too small to be clear, could you post a clear one?
โฆโฆThe OV-10 was more of a Marine driven initiative to develop a multi-purpose, light armed attack/observation plane in the mid-late ’60s after the experiences in Vietnam. The combat role was much more an emphasis with the OV-10 than it was the Mohawk. โฆโฆ

The Bold I signed is what I mean. So, because of the COMBAT ROLL, the most of specification items of Bronco should be more superior than Mohawk. But factually it isn’t! Why?
well, it looks that North Korea has already got MiG-29C.
But even in its hay days the major problem with YAk was that it uses sepparate lift engines from the drive engines … meaning once it goes in flight the lift enginees become dead weight.
The reason behind succes of harrier is the solution to that problem.
Dead weight? I’m sorry I couldn’t understand you, why the lift engine on Russian VTOL aircraft as Yak-38 or Yak-141 would be dead weight but JSF F-35?
The twin lift engine setup is what killed the yak-38,and 141.
The -38 NEEDED all three jets in order to land (twin lifts plus the main jet)failure of any one of these ment that the aircraft would crash-hence the auto ejection seats designed to fire if the aircraft over pitched whilst in the hover. This is the same problem the French had with their Balzac, which was a mod.mirage with around 3 or 4 lift jets-two prototypes flew and two crashed (both on their maiden flights?).
This is why the Harrier was so successful, with only 1 engine you have less chance of a failure.
Three lift engine IS what killed Yak-38 and Yak-41? So could I understand that as if the lift engine reduce to only one, the Yak-38 or Yak-41 would survive or should be survived?
Yes, that is!
this IS a real full load F-104 in fact!
