Such sad news, i am still shocked to hear he has gone, He was from a time when football was about football and not about money like it is these days.
I was’nt born when Alan Ball was in the world cup winning squad but along with the rest of the team he is rightly a national hero, That will never change.

His epitaph will always be the way he took control when Gorby was kidnapped by the old guard, it may well have been political outflanking, as the two disliked each other intensly, but he showed great courage during the assault on Moscow. I bet he could have been a hell of character to share a bottle or 2 of vodka with.

I feel its a shame that he maybe remembered for the drunken antics and silly dancing that he did towards the end of his time in power, Because its clear he was much more than that, At the time he took control the old Soviet union was in chaos and it took a brave man of courage to see his way through that and bring Russia out the other side, My wife is from Belarus and it was a living hell for them and the rest of the former soviet countries at that time.

The only other thing that is sad is that Yeltsin gave way to Putin who is pure soviet, And if you know your politics you will know Belarus has a even more communist leader.I Guess reform takes time, We need the Yeltsins of the world to make those changes happen.

I am still learning some camera techinques, I was a little lazy with the S602 in many ways often resorting to pre-set camera modes rather than setting the shutter speeds and aperture settings myself.I am deliberately avoiding the pre-set modes now and feel i am enjoying it more, The main thing i am trying to achieve now is getting the white balance right to be able to get good quality photo’s in the Science museum and possibly Hendon.

The squirrel photo was a shot my wife spotted for me and i just took it, She definitley wants part of the glory for that one.
I should be going up to London on Good Friday depeding on the weather we either be doing a River trip or off to the museums, Either way i will take the camera.

I like them I used to have a 5500 (I think) and what impressed me most was the colour reproduction, you just can’t beat a Fuji sensor but in the end I simply had to go for the speed of an SLR. The colour is just as good…………..after I have made the right adjustments that is………….with a Fuji sensor you get what you want straight out of the box, without any fiddling.

I must admit i do have a liking for Fuji camera’s they are of great quality, And i have been able to achieve some photo’s that i really like with the 4 Fuji types i have used in the past.
