This is a heads up only I will reframe from all comment but I thought like me others may find this interesting concerning Ken Ward and what happened a couple of years ago (which most of us are fully aware about). Ken has been on the aircraft scence for a while and with the fact that he appears in person on this programme in the public domain I feel it is fair enough to post here. But please let’s ALL reframe from making any negative comment on here, people can make up there own minds I am sure.

Sorry, but this message looks like it was composed using a translation site. What language was it originally thought of in, and what do you think ‘reframe‘ means in your native tongue?;o)

It’s still unclear what happened to the collection, was it confiscated and scrapped or is it still in his possession?

Was his crime connected with his collection or him displaying a little antisocial behaviour and lack of a personal wardrobe? I can’t see why they’d confiscate or scrap it – that would be the sort of thing the relatives would do more than the law…

I thought it was free, however you will then end up renting it? Hence I pass.

It is free for a while (18 months?) if you already have Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, after which you would need to buy it – assuming you didn’t upgrade. BUT it is the last Windows since, from now on, apparently, they will update this OS so that (they say) you will never need to purchase one again.
So far all the reviews have been good.

Just wondered if anyone had taken the plunge yet.

    … Sorry in Swedish…

Most of this lot will understand a smattering of Swedish (mainly stuff about repairing washing machines and how warm it appears indoors) but we’ll all understand it if they’d just speak with a Swedish accent…;o)

He relied on the local guides to obtain the right permits, so there probably are no legal papers to produce.

The conspiracy-theorist in me wanted it to be modern but the side scan (?) image looks like something that would have been in service 100 years ago, rather than a modern-ish mini sub. Also the colour scheme looks a little inappropriate for sneaky creeping around in the shallow waters around the Swedish coast, whereas the old photos show something so similar as to be near as damn it indisputable – if a little unbelievable due to the vast passage of time between its loss and rediscovery.

I think you mean the AEW version Mike, with the radar housed under the nose?! The one under discussion here is an AS version.

Or it could be a T27 as mentioned in the commentary and the video name…

Indeed. In a box in the wardrobe, admittedly, but still got them.

A few might argue that I didn’t retain all my marbles…

Here are a few titles I would like to see.

The History of Airshows in Britain.
The History of the Shuttleworth Collection.
    Duxford. The Preservation Era.
    Pre WWI aircraft Survivors.
    Miles Survivors.
    Percival Survivors.
The Warbirds of Great Britain Story
History of the Confederate/Commemorative Air Force
History of Air Racing in Britain.
Biography of Ray and Mark Hanna.

Well, at least there would be an abundance of images of the last 50-odd years of airshows, museums and survivors – although most of them will be of Spitfires…;o)
