Few photos for Rlangham, as requested in your pm Rob:

Thanks jimincov – I’m gutted now that it was not open when I went – I haven’t yet seen a B-26 ‘in the flesh’.
Looks like making a return visit at sometime – Anyone know if they have regular open days on the ‘far side’ ?
and a few more random Chippie’s.
(Dodrums – think we had the same idea for an unusual angle to snap a Chippie!)
Superb idea for a thread darrenharbar, long may it run !
My first contribution is the only Chippie I have been lucky enough to get a flight in, at Old Warden on 11th June this year.
In memory of Steve:
jimincov,
thanks for posting the pics, especially the World War II aircraft (That building was shut when I visited in May – Ahhh!!)
Any more from that hall, please ?
Planning to be there on Sunday – if the weather improves !
I never met Steve, but had the pleasure of reading many of his very enjoyable posts on this forum, and feel that his passing has left a gap that cannot be filled.
My thoughts are with Haydn, Julie, and his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed.
Fly high Steve.
Mark
Should be there myself this year, so I will look out for you.
Whats the colour scheme?
Taking photo’s of a classic aircraft FROM a classic aircraft – You lucky lucky man !!
Superb photo’s

What a fantastic experience !
The photo of the Stampe against the sun, and the Stearman breaking away are brilliant.
Thanks for sharing.

Superb shots Kev,
The Hind looks fantastic in that light.

You’ll enjoy it – fantastic experience.
I was lucky enough to fly in one just over a year ago, and also take the controls for about 5 minutes – the first aircraft I have ever been in control of. Still can’t remember most of the 2 hour drive home afterwards as I was in a daze!
Hope the weather is good for you – Enjoy

I remember about 20 or so years ago, when Farnborough got decent coverage on TV, the commentator making a statement along the lines of ‘The RAF are considering the F-16 as a stop-gap until the Tornado F2 fully enters service’, but I never heard anything else after that, so I just assumed he had run out of things to say about the F-16, and was making it up as he went along !
Uncovered……..
Thanks to all involved in organising a great show, and to everyone who has posted photo’s (far better than any of mine!), and also for the explanations as to the shortened Harrier display, the identity of the Puma, etc.

a few more shots for Rlangham.
