    I’ll be there.
Will be wearing the big silly grin after my Prentice flight, and and even bigger sillier grin when I get off the Shack.
Pitty the weather reports not too clever – still, time for that to change

Seems as if there is always some part of Hendon closed for whatever reason – The Graham White building being a regular culprit.
I think its just a plan to get you to go back again !

Thanks for posting the photo’s Anna.

Looks like there has been a couple of movements since I was there last July – Has the Triplane migrated across from the museum?

Great photos Spey111 – Got any of the museums Corsair?

Didn’t appear to be much else going on, couple of light aircraft and that was about it.
I didn’t stay long after the Hunter returned as I could see a few heavies coming out of Brize. By the time I got over there, nowt going on – typical!

Anna – no sign of any of their aircraft, I was hoping they would be about, but alas no.

There was a Harvard parked up on the other side on the runway in US Navy colours with a number 40 on it – anyone know whose it is? Couldn’t get a decent photo of it unfortunately.

Towards the end of last year a Vultee Valiant sat outside the restoration building at Cosford. Unfortunately the only photo’s I got of it were with my 35mm and I have no access to a scanner.
Could this have been one of Bob Mitchells aircraft?
Its vanished again now, and I assumed it was in the restoration building, but it could be back on the ‘far side’ again.

Good to see a pic of the Twin-Pin, I wondered where that was hiding!!

I’ll be there Saturday or Sunday – whichever looks to be the best weatherwise.
Would be good to meet a few other forumites and put faces to names – anywhere popular to hang out at LFA?

    Peter,
they told me they WILL get the Lightning to a ground runnable state, but as you can see from the attached – no engines yet!
I will certainly make the 165mile journey if they get the Lightning, Vixen, and Bucc ground running, and one of the Sea Princes taxying up and down the strip, as they are all capable of it!
    Couple more shots anyway….
    🙂 😎 😉

I was lucky enough to get taken beyond the barriers by one of the volunteers, and had a good look around the Hurricane.
Managed to get the attached photo while she held the cover up!
Thankyou to her, didn’t get her name, but I know her husband is one of the ones working on the Hurri.
    😉
