I’m hoping to make the trip and give my support.
Aren’t there enough houses around London????????????
On the subject of Twin-Pins, does anyone know where the Cosford one is currently hiding, and if it is ever going to see the light of day again?
Just a couple more from me……
As of 12th September last year……
Looking at this thread it appears only one aircraft on show has been left off, so here we go, the JP,
plus one of two classic British types. 🙂
(Both taken last Sunday)
Here’s a couple of one found close to the airport in Malta.
Just took the one Propstrike, here you go…..
Whats your interest in this particular ‘Moth?
My contribution,
the Cosford Dak inside ‘n out.
(Rumoured to be being repainted in its true colours soon)
…. and a couple more…….
Sorry, did actually mean HE.
Spent about 20 minutes stopping him from working by talking to him about the Canberra, and I could tell he is very passionate about the aircraft and very proud of it.
So credit where it is due – HE is doing a fantastic job. (Keep it up Malcolm!)
(I would post some photo’s of the interior but have not yet set up a photobucket account).
I was lucky enough to visit most of the aircraft museums in North and South Island last year, along with the Warbirds Over Wanaka show, and still haven’t stopped talking about it !
Every museum was excellent and the people very friendly and accommodating, so all I can say to anyone thinking of going is – STOP THINKING AND GO FOR IT !!
The food and beer is also superb, so where’s the reason not to go?
I’ll be going back as soon as I can raise the funds and get a month off work.
I have to agree with LesB.
I was at MAM last October and found the staff and volunteers extremely friendly and helpful – I even got to have a crawl around inside the Canberra, which is in fantastic condition inside since its restoration. When they repaint the exterior it would be nice to see it kept as it is, with the dayglo leading edges from its time as a test aircraft.
Thanks for the info guys.
I’m going myself this year for the first time – driving down on the Friday, staying in Evry. Show on Saturday, Musee de L’air Sunday, and driving back Monday (Work will be interesting on Tuesday  )
