The very best of luck to Kemble, lets hope for a favourable outcome.
Unfortunately further proof that the ‘Great’ should be removed from Great Britain.
A very depressing state of affairs when YET ANOTHER memorial is vandalised.

Hi Will,
sent you a pm.

Ahhhhh, Chipmunks !
The type I experienced my first barrel-roll and loop in (but not the same aircraft), and also the first ‘historic’ type my better half got to fly in, complete with roll and loop!
A wonderful aircraft that will always hold special memories for us both.
Very nice photo’s Consul.
We arrived just a few minutes before the Lancaster showed up as we had been at the DeHavilland Heritage Centre earlier, so stayed at the other end of the runway.

We hope to make a full day of it next year.

My better half is getting very excited at the prospect of seeing 558 airborne again, completely Vulcan-mad she is! (Is there a name for people with this affliction?????):D
Might surprise her and take her along to see her at Brunty on Monday.
Good luck to the guys with the test program.
Yep, still the same as June, but she’ll look very distinctive when finished.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks for posting 1 Group,
How does the Meteor TT.20 look now?
The last time I was there in early June she was awaiting a wing to be fitted.
Great to see a TT.20 AS a TT.20 and not painted as a NF variant.
Melvyn,
If we see you at another show we will certainly say Hi, as Samantha did wonder where the (legendary) rubber chicken was, and was going to ask you!!
She is very impressed with the Rearwin, as she had never heard of one before, (She’s into paraffin burners!), and loves the colour!
Our first airshow at Biggin Hill on Saturday and I have to say we were impressed with the ease of getting in and out, but then we were at the golf course end.
No delays (thankfully) getting back to the M25, which was a major bonus as it was a round trip of 400 miles for us!
A good show topped by great commentary from Melvyn and Brendan.
I can’t say we’ll be there next year (due to the distance) but we WILL be back at some point!
p.s. Thanks Melvyn for motioning to my girlfriend to remove her hat before you swung the Rearwin around – a true gentleman.
I was intregued by this, and after a quick search found this:

Scroll down to June for the answer.
Nice idea though!
The flight in the Rapide last June was superb, I highly recommend it,and I’m glad the event is being repeated.
I’ve got friends coming from South Wales this weekend and we will definately be turning up.
See you Sunday Will.

Thanks for the info guys, I’ll try and get over there before Christmas.
